In this Nature League Field Trip, Brit joins researchers at the University of Montana Flathead Lake Biological Station to sample for freshwater invertebrates, including Mysis shrimp.

YAY FIELD TRIPS!! and while i don't like invertebrates, this is very interesting. this are my reactions to the whole episode, point by point: also love wild words, or how i like to call it, britsplaining (which is very useful). I love how you go behind the scenes and show the nitty gritty of the people behind all this nature stuff.

Hell yeah, a real life example of a trophic cascade! Great way to kind of follow up on that study you talked about. I'm curious about the effect that all these introduced species had on the native species' populations. You said that the 3 dominant species are all introduced ones now... How are the populations of the native ones? Did any of them go extinct or get extirpated from the lake?
