In this video Rupert talks about what I consider to be the one of the most important aspects of the fine art photography style after the quality of the light and that is the quality of the shade. How good are the shadows?

This is interesting. I am looking for faces, how dressed, expressions, and how it fits within the frame / backdrop. You see in shade and light on subjects, more than the rest, but not exclusive to good geometry. The geometry is one thing, and is important, but looking for shadows yet another. Those great light and shadow moments are far more rare than faces, facial expressions, hand gestures, and color mix and matches. You are a talented, and patient man. The ability to view life as art form is so important. You are so blessed. The street photography side of little ol' me, is relatively new, after decades of doing the typical, shall we say, tourist and landscape photography over and once again, I tried street photography, and got hooked. The street has taken over my website these days. Love the street shoots, and all the beautiful people of this world. Life is good. Take care, Loren Schwiderski

You are an outstanding Street photographer and teacher. Would love to buy your book. However postage to USA is more expensive than book. Please make it available digitally. 😊

Lovely photo's Rupert. Would it be possible for you to show us your post-process. I would like to see how you dodge and burn your images to get these fine arts results.

Such good advice. Still don’t understand exactly how to expose these types of shots correctly. Would love a tutorial out in the street

Just go out and practice. Watch your histogram and take care of the highlights not to burn out. But if you want to create high key shots (not the topic of this video) you want to create burn out in the highlights. Try it, you can learn it!
