Looks like first Lego rc car of this type that has some suspension working in a real way, not just when you push it down to ground. Gives it alot of realistic look.

Actually im a bit dissapointed with lego technic box sizes nowadays. The set is not that big, but the box is very huge

I really, really like this set, very well built

It may be the best LEGO RC vehicle yet, but that still puts it at about 10,000th on the scale of RC vehicles. If building your RC vehicle is the goal, there are still kit RC vehicles that require assembly. LEGO uses so many specialized parts for these things, you might as well get a real RC vehicle that is purpose-built. I'm a fan of LEGO and Technic sets. I think they are a great way to learn about engineering ideas. There are many Technic sets that will give building experiences that are equal to or better than this set, yet not produce a disappointing RC vehicle in the end. Heck- it's not even a good "shelf queen".

Arguably the best RC car they did in recent years. Respect to them for that.

lego has just released everything i have wanted from modified parts or custom parts, but at better quality in a set. definitely buying this one. thanks for the early and high quality review!

An Audi with way too many stickers and the Control+ system: Three very good reasons to absolutely hate this set.....yet somehow I do quite like it! And with a decent discount, the price won't be bad either! One thing I do wonder: does ANYONE ever buy those C+ components separately at those insane retail prices?

Dang, that thing is expensive but it reminds me a lot of the "Lego Technic Rally" videos from back in the day, and on top of that it's an official Lego RC car that's actually good, and even with the high price it's actually a great value for what you get. I don't have a lot to spend on Lego stuff for the foreseeable future, but this is now near the top of my wish list.

This would be a perfect set for Lego to bring back the buggy motors as a powered up version cause damn do I miss and yet have been able to get my hands on them

I may actually pick up this set. Will be my first RC Lego set ever. That suspension looks amazing. I know that battery life will depend on terrain and how fast you drive it, but do you have a rough average ballpark on how long the batteries last till needing new ones or recharged?

I'm definitely getting this set, it has many new pieces that I wish I had before! You might be able to make it climb better by using the differential from the top gear rally car.

That was the most nsfw new parts list in a loooong time. The new short CV joint is great. Now we just need a reinforced version of the two-sided male version. I had been thinking about picking up some larger tires in quite a while, these new ones are probably gonna be perfect for me. at the final noted u say that corners have clearly been cut but if u look at the prices for the powered up components and the but pieces i think lego did a great job at keeping this set at a amazing price if u look at price to buy it piece by piece

Love this set! I would rather have ugly set with lot of awesome pieces than nice set with standard range of pieces. I build original sets only once when i buy them anyway...

I'm really dissappointed by this sets authenticy. First of all, the real car is dark gray, not black. When looked at photos, the roof scoop is black, the rest is not. It really doesn't help that lego uses the launch renderings, if they used the real life photos it would have looked much, much worse. Also the entire front is hollow from the side, and like you mentioned in the video, way too many cut corners. Also really surprised by the fact they chose the older RS Q e-tron over the new RS Q e-tron E2, which has even sleeker body and more travel in the back, very weird as technic usually takes the latest of the latest models, even if the new car isnt out yet (mclaren f1 car). Very dissappointed, will only get this at 50% discount at least.
