as someone whose favourites are Series 2, closely followed by 1, I do have to say that the consistency never bothered me, especially as it made Flying Kipper stand out more. The one pro that I dont see talked about more is that the high contrast cool lighting of Series 1 makes it look more realistic in many areas than Series 3 onwards.
