The earlier you unlock powerups the weaker ur base power is. Its good when a MC climbs through the power tiers by first maxing out all their physical stats and combat experience. This is why Vegeta with a higher power level would be surpassed by Goku and Vegata realized that climbing power too fast does not guarantee you becoming the strongest, its about mastery of those forms.

Actually, it depends on your mindset. If you have a good mindset, you'd understand training your base. Iirc goku and vegeta typically did train in the base unless trying to master a form.

The only reason that this is the case is due to the story's impact making the cast focus on their transformations. This series isn't like that, if anything the opposite. Oozaru was a nice touch

@@Chrisp707- Actually vegeta thought that it was all about power in dragon ball z and Goku showed him that if the gap in power is comparable it comes down to martial arts. That was the whole issue with the cell games and frieza's return

I love how patient you are with this series. The slow burn is phenomenal, and really refreshing. I know other creators would've rushed to the power up already, but this feel a lot more organic. Great character and narrative work, keep it up!

I'm barely 35 minutes into your video and I'm in love with it so far. So many creators do not respect or give much attention to Dragonball. They want to just rush their ideas or only focus on ideas that turn Dragonball into Dragonball Z. Sometimes they'll have a premise like yours, but they'll rush to get to Raditz. Thank you for taking your time, I can't get enough of pre-saiyan content. I love the whole franchise, but the time before Raditz doesn't get enough attention by the general community.

I’m still so excited to see what you plan to do for this timeline. It’s unique in a way I haven’t seen in most what if stories: it focuses on technique over raw power.

Thank you for the support!! 😁 My entirely approach to this story has been focusing more on the martial arts and spiritual aspects of Dragon Ball rather than pure power or feats. At the core of this story, it’s a young boy’s journey to enlightenment and the many twists and turns that result from that as he grows into a man. I hope to continue working on this series until we get to that long awaited conclusion! I hope you’ll be there when that happens :)

You know, I wouldn't be surprise if before DBS, Goku will attained a normal-ki UI form with that less strainuous and weaker than the UI form that we know.

That’s essentially the concept Roshi uses against Jiren during the T.O.P. It’s not exactly Ultra Instinct but it’s close to it and it doesn’t use any godly Ki, it’s built off of decades of experience and training one’s body. Something like that was already being shown off here in this story already, it’s just not very flashy :P

@ProfessorChimpYT Thank you for remembering the Flow Technique and the general path of enlightenment as a whole. That Krillin and Roshi never made mention of it as a basis for Ultra Instinct will forever be a miss. A 30-year Checkov's Skill would have tied all of Dragonball together quite nicely. The other reply mentioned that Saiyan biology would have found a way to make that a transformation and that probably tracks, too. Unfortunately, that means Frieza, and all his transformations, could have figured that out. Or, worse, something like Ultra Ego, which would be downright unsettling with his native durability.

I love that you are coming up with new techniques that fit the different training the characters are going through and they are not just “final crimson kamehameha of the godly evolution of super Saiyan times 100!” Like every other what if creator. With that I mean, I’m at 30” and Krillin’s new move was a nice surprise. Hopefully there is more of that in the video. Deciding not to train with Roshi was a bad move for Tien, especially considering Chiaotzu follows him everywhere. But no, he had to “find his own way”. Had Chiaotzu learned some of the tricky techniques of the hermit and added them to his own psychic arsenal, he might have continued to be relevant for a while. Imagine him putting enemies to sleep, electrocuting them and throwing them around, or a combination of all the above.

A story like this could be fun but it’s also involve creating new OCs since there aren’t really that many other SSJs in the story before Goku 🤧 Off the top of my head, the only examples are Yamoshi and (if you count that tv special) Bardock

When I originally made these earlier parts a year or two ago, I had an older mic without any support. But nowadays, I have a much better mic connected to an audio interface. If you listen to some of my newer video releases, you can hear the difference compared to my older vids!

It would be more interesting if inventing your own techniques could become a way of shattering through your limits, instead of just learning how to punch harder.

The ability to create new and innovative techniques should really be earthling's strong suit. Yeah, a saiyan or other battle prodigy could COPY their technique, but they'd be able to make a BUNCH of creative and innovative techniques(plus aside from not replicating it as well, they probably could counter their own technique being thrown at them, knowing the intricacies better than a copy). With techniques like Kaioken and the Destructo Disc already existing as examples (along with DBXV implying anyone can use ginyu body change or a technique like Hits timeskip) the possibilities for a ki genius is staggeringly high. Not even counting magic, there's people like Baba on Earth and shapeshifting (like with Puar) is a form of it. Honestly would love a what if about humans becoming powerful not through becoming monkey men with blue hair dye or converting into androids, but actually pulling all the stops from Earth. "What if the Earthlings were Creative?"

@@doohickeyhandy758 I agree with this sentiment 100%. If Earthlings aren’t physically strong then they should continue thinking out of the box and develop techniques that bridge the power gap. The Mafuba, a technique designed for King Piccolo, was capable of nearly sealing the immortal Zamasu! Wish we had more moments like that in the real show 🤧

There was a pretty big mistake concerning Goku's age: even before DBS Broly, it was officially stated that Goku was born 3 years before the destruction of Planet Vegeta (so in Age 734, not Age 737). Basically, he was 16 when he entered the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai, despite looking like a g*ddamn kid until he was 22...

Alright, I gotta know who's in charge of picking the music. Because I'm hearing way more Advanced Adventure music than I thought possible in a single video. I grew up on that game, and I haven't seen that many people share the same sentiment. This video gave me more nostalgia from the music than from the actual story.

I would not say ultra instinct has a multiplier of 5x but he just stronger because it lets him move freely and gives him a speed boost

I speak slower so I can annunciate my words more clearly :) I normally talk TOO fast so this is what I do to make sure everyone understands me clearly! As for my acting, I was admittedly rather stiff when I first recorded this series two years ago. I like to think I’ve improved since then 😛 Thanks so much for the support! I really appreciate!
