As a man I'm so ashamed that our society is like this. So many sexual predators among our young girls. I am in awe to come to terms that most conversations i have with females being molested and or raped was an experience they faced. #speakoutagainstmolestation

Being a victim of molestation at 6 years old and raped in 2006 I thank you for your statement. Sad to say as parents we are not every where our children are to protect them. I wish to not have these kind of things to happen to no child, no one. you never get over it, you only can ask for Grace to move on.

Here are the similarities with Yanique and I . I was led to Swallowfield Chapel having never heard of it. When going through divorce I am sure that same lady received a word for me. She stopped the service said " Lady in the blue and white dress" and I looked behind me and she said you! One thing I know God is with us and He is for us. Blessings Yanique! Oh and a daily praying mother.

I believe what she went through growing up, with a strict family, she decides to be who she is. Let her be her. My mother is also a pastor and whatever I chose to do, was just up to me. I've been molested by a family member and to this day, myfather doesn't know. My mother knows when I became a teenager. Nothing was done about it to this day. In my 30s and I'm forever scarred and now have a mental disorder. So I know what Yanique goes through.

A majority of Jamaican men have a tendency to put their hands on women and if you try to leave they tell you all the things to hurt you or dismiss your feelings altogether. I’m so sorry you went through this Yanique. I went through a similar situation and I don’t know where I found the strength, but I did, and I left. Thank you for sharing your honest testimony and I hope all of the women who are living in silence to come forward and find healing and learn to love themselves.

You know the thing which I love about Yanique over the years is. It doesn't matter how much she is being dragged you will never see her bashing the other party who she has a conflict with. She stays silent until it dies down, she never tries to defend herself. She is not the one to go back & forth on social media. She keeps her truth & stay grounded. That takes a lot of courage but as Simone concluded the segment "God alone is judge & jury". Love you Yanique keep being that resilient woman you are private battles public victory. You're truly an inspiration.

Today, more than ever, it has been reinforced in my mind.....'LEAVE ALL JUDGEMENT TO GOD'. Am I allowed to be honest and say, without knowing the Yanique who, sat in the SIM Soul Session safe space chair, ....just seeing her glory without knowing her story,.... I judged her. Pretty lady with the honest, open, beautiful spirit, please accept my humblest apology. I have learnt so much from you in your interview but the lesson I will benefit from most of all is... 'DO YU TING...LIVE YU LIFE.... and DO YOU....translated ..LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE'. On your journey, just keep inspiring others with that effervescent spirit which gushes out of you in all your interviews I have been privileged to watch. Keep spreading Love through your restaurant and in your on stage performances.

Thank you Simone for bringing Yanique to share her story as many of us women have gone through this sort of abuse. This happened to me twice and the trauma still follows me through life.

I truly understand your pain Yanique because I was in a similar situation. When other girls talk about their first time, I had to make up a story to forget what truly happened. It took the power of God to heal my pain after over 30 years.

Our society is so judgemental and it seem many who are judging are insecure ina them little corner with them bitter self…… Many of our Jamaican ppl love when bad things are happening to others … they jump on the bandwagon to help tear down ppl…. NEGATIVITY is many of them OXYGEN. Yan you are an inspiration and I love your strength, so girl continue to own your story and keep living your best life… Your daughter is beautiful and from the way she spoke I can hear eloquence and it is clear she had a good upbringing … Your work as a mom is celebrated babygirl … GOD BLESS, KEEP SHINING BECAUSE YOU ARE A STAR ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🇬🇧
