In the other seasons, he was living in denial, constantly convincing himself and everyone around him that he’s a good man who “makes mistakes” or “does it for love” but right here he’s finally ascended into his true self, and it was pretty crazy to see him finally accept that he’s a murderous psycho with a split personality. I’m OK with him winning this round cuz this isn’t the end the next season is the last season and I’m ready to see the final showdown with him!

Marienne isn't stupid to go after Joe especially given that she has a daughter to take care of while making sure she's dead according to Joe. She wouldn't risk that. Ellie has more of a reason to go after Joe

Honestly though I can't see it going for much more. Joe is at the top, he can't go any higher or lower and he is past the point of change/redemption arc. I think either Kate joins him in the crazy or Joe gets caught by Kate in the final season and he turns himself in because of "love". Then he will have his 30 year sentence or whatever and the story will end with Joe getting out years later and finding another "you". (Starting the cycle again) Not the most satisfying ending, but it is a realistic one. (We all know joe didn't tell Kate everything, just the story closest to the truth. She probably doesn't know about benji or that random angry guy from season 2. And he probably made beck and Candace one person/one crazy ex. He still twisted the story most likely. I'm certain he didn't tell her about the librarian affair or her crazy ex, or her bf when he was drunk because that would end her love for him. Of course he could always tell her, her bf cheated...) Idk, I can't see the show going much further.

Joe is a typical case of "I like the thrill of the hunt" he's not truly interested in being in a loving relationship with someone, even if he's diluted himself into thinking that way. He loves the game of it all. The systematic infiltration of a womans life, slowly but surely taking control of it and manipulating everything around him to his benefit. Once that parts over and he's won the heart of his target he gets bored. Like how a wild animal would feel after being domesticated. He's doomed to repeat the cycle until he ends up dead or in jail. And honestly considering that some prison guards are females he probably wouldn't even stop after going to prison

She could be smart in handling it instead of being overconfident but by no means she was dumb in wanting to punish him seriously. Also I liked the ending as well , from joe believing himself innocent while committing crimes to finally embracing his true self without excuses , it was surprising. I don't know what makers would do in next last season but it would be ruined by supposed "happy ending" "justice served " as this ending is much more realistic. Bad people don't always infact mostly not get punished because of being smart and if they have all resource and they are powerful it is near impossible to do them any harm .

And I think Joe is going to go extreme next season, he is able to murder a child or a teenager this is the next step. Either the kid will snoop around and/or will be on the point of spilling the beans or the kid will be a collateral damage (food poisoning, drugged with medicine) to frame a future antagonist (from Joe's perspective of course). This would be a complete breakpoint for Joe as he will be in a critical situation regarding his image, so he won't have solutions to spare the kid. He has no longer empathy. The show should take the risks for killing younger characters.

I hope there is no one out there that does shit on this season. Easily the best one out of the four

My impression is that Ed was framed with the same type of kill box that Joe had. She could have claimed self defense but the narration said she refused to speak or defend herself and was in jail. She is safer in jail than free knowing he could come finish her off and no one will believe her. If she later writes a book (Joe is hoping she does) about Joe it could be titled “you” 🤷.
