We are John and Caroline O'Boyle. Welcome to our channel. After 42 years of marriage we sold our home, loaded our 2 - BMW GS motorcycles into the garage of our Grand Design 351M and traded the familiar for adventure. Join us as we travel America's roads in search of the best hiking, biking, and motorcycle riding that is has to offer. Our rides resemble a Shamrock 🍀 thus the name: "The Grand Shamrock Tour."
This episode starts July 1st, 2022 and we are finally telling that Season III of our journey. We landed in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and head south to Florida for the Winter. Along the way we visit: Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. The next episode will cover Tennessee, Georgia, and on down to Florida.

I did a loop around lake Michigan. I was worried about the bridge too. It wasn't bad the day I crossed. Sugar creme pie is probably my absolute favorite. So good! There is a Skyline near my house in Fort Wayne. It's just okay. It doesn't change my life. Buffalo and Makers were the best ones on the passport. Wild Turkey was maybe my next favorite one. Four Roses was a new place for me. they have some great product. ;) Always excited to see your videos. I feel like we have traveled in many of the same places. Thanks again for the trip down memory lane. Can't wait for the next one.

Just wondering. Do you two practice the bits like, "The Best 5 Hikes...John has a DOZEN of them!"?? As usual this was wonderful! We can certainly tell you have an acting background John! We are native Michiganders (over 55 years) We love it there. We've been to Kitch-Iti-Kipi numerous times. Did a video on it. Do the motorcycles scare the horses? Glad you enjoyed Michigan, thanks for showing it off! 😄-Michelle

😂Turns out my acting career was relegated to to coaching football, I was a pipe insulator by trade so now I have an outlet with this channel. Great video! Nice you went to my home state where I’m from and you had pasties. That’s what Michigan is known for. Especially in the U.P. My great grandmother on my grandfathers dude who’s Finish she used to home make those when her husband when to work. It’s really an English food but the miners ate it when their families made them while they worked the mines. I learned that from my mom who told me. Glad you had fun there. It’s not fun there in the winter. Nice you went to Indiana and Kentucky. It’s fun traveling the United States. I love it. Glad you loved it in Michigan. Great video. Thanks so much Sherri! It was pretty obvious we enjoyed the U.P. And we rode so much of Michigan on the motorcycles. 😳 The lakes are simply stunning!! And all of the boats and harbors. John's grandfather was a miner in Montana and the pasty was the staple for the miners. So interesting and such tough living. Boy, do we ever have it good. Watch next week when John is caught "texting a love letter to Michigan..." 🤣 J&C 🍀
