listen to the last few albums they're all great, this is darker/heavier though than most, there's a good variety of sound in there

Wow, if Thy Catafalque never disappoints the band also never fail to amaze. Clearly a record to which you can't reproach that it would be better with a little more or less of this/that, only a world perfect in itself, that you can or cannot enter but not call its own rules/laws or geography into question. Like a fragile equation from which you can't erase the littlest bit without risking to diminish its strong/powerful result. That record left me breathless and emotionally wrung out, still not understanding how I managed not to cry at some points, like during the acoustic finale to "alföld", etc.. A world full of steep hills, of valleys and crevices, full of contrasts, with also (as usual) something that sounds very Hungarian/Mitteleuropean, spiritually, relying on reinvented folklore and merging perfectly in those huge avant-garde/bm atmospheres. At this stage it will one day start to get very complicated to rank Thy Catafalque's discography from best to (to what ? A little less best ?) with such masterpieces and gems.

Nagyszerű lett az Alföld, egészen visszafiatalodtam tőle, lévén hogy nagyon sok ilyen súlyos zenét hallgattam anno 25-30 éve, és nagyon jól esett hallgatni ezeket a súlyos riffeket, a hörgést,stb. Gratulálok Tamásnak és az összes közreműködő zenésznek: köszönet a remek albumért! U.I:az hogy a megjelenés előtt egy nappal hamarabb meghozta a futár, már csak hab volt a tortán. :)

Even from the album Róka hasa rádió, this band surprised with the sound and mood when listening, this music makes you think about a lot, since then it has been one of the most progressive bands in metal, having learned this style of avant garde. Róka hasa rádió is worth listening to for everyone who didn't listen, thank you Tamas

Абсолютно согласна, с удовольствием прослушала весь альбом когда он только вышел, и часто возвращаюсь к нему. Каждый раз удивляюсь как группа так красиво сочетает экстрим и чистый вокал, здорово.

a lemez első fele egy kőkemény 10/10est ér nálam és ha ez EP-ben jön ki akkor az év meglepetése lenne. a másik felében vannak egész jól eltalált dolgot, de egy hosszra marad el az elsőtől, így egy közepes 5/10-et adtam rá. összességben nálam egy erős 7/10es anyag lett az új Thy Catafalque és ha ezen a vonalon halad a Tamás, sose lesz csalódás, hiányérzet..stb kíváncsi vagyok a következő lemezére!

It is possible for [X] to have the properties of [Black Metal] without [X] literally /being/ [Black Metal] as its purest genre form. This is extremely obvious.
