Impossible to use I think if you have bad hips/ needing hip replacements as opening your legs to sit straddle fashion far too uncomfortable. In addition after surgery no good - to get to the position of sitting i.e. straddling on it is likely to be a type of movement of the legs which is advised against by Physios and surgeons.

What are hand options. I certainly don't like the one here.
