I loved how these sketches turned out! I’m so surprised there was any pigment that came out. Also Sebastian from the little mermaid was a crab because lobsters do have tails, it’s fleshy and covered in shell because people eat them. Keep drawing guys, I love your videos

Technically lobsters have tails. They have a breastplate (grown together with their head) it is called a cephalothorax (I hope that it is spelled right). And they have seperate plates on their abdomen. They end in the tail (telson and the uropod)... Yes, they have a tail. 😁

You could paint with spirulina. It's seaweed and SUPER pigmented. Every food I put it in turn bluish green. Really nice color!

My hubby says yes lobsters have tails, they are very muscular apparently. He's a marine biologist and worked in many sea and marine centres, and had to actually talk all about the lobster. Great video by the way.xxx

Hey Steph and Adam! Marine Biologist here. Lobsters definitely have tails :) here’s the best part, crabs have tails too, they’re just much smaller and tucked under their tummy!

About the lobster... as an entomologist/aquatic invertebrate Taxonomist, the end of the lobster would be called the abdomen overall. The head of lobster is the carapace and the abdomen is attached to it. Tail is sometimes used in diagrams, but the official word is abdomen :). My take : lobsters do have tails! they are just jointed and mobile. it helps the lobster jet backwards when they are afraid. lobsters usually crawl to cover, but the tail can help them swim! the tail also helps mama hold her eggies!

What you're calling the "lobster tail" is actually the abdomen of the lobster and at the very end is the telson. So not really a tail. Just learned about this in my Marine Bio course :)

When you try to paint with non liquids, maybe put the stuff in boiling water to extract some pigment in to the water - like tea :)

The back half of a lobster is called a 'tail' because, as Adam said, they use it to swim like a paddle and it's mostly muscle! However, some of their internal anatomy goes through it, like their intestines, but it's mostly muscle :) You're both kinda right.
