Orcas usually live up to 80 years in the wild. You can see how bent it’s dorsal fin is. Those tanks aren’t fit for suck large and intelligent animals

I seen Tilikum before at SeaWorld when I was a small child, and now, he is dead, this saddens me. SeaWorld must be held accountable for what they cause to this tortured giant.

Sea World killed Tilikum! By isolated him to loneliness! No touch or interaction like he was used to. He was depressed he didn't know want he did wrong. Orcas are the top predator of the ocean. After he harmed just one trainer Sea World should've made a sanctuary for him in the ocean! They are are smart if they can adapt to being in a concrete tank after being taken from there home he could adapt to the ocean again. No one should go to these shows anymore! It's cruel!

It's sad and abhorrent that it took the death of an innocent life, for humanity to finally understand that wild animals in captivity, for human entertainment, is barbaric. This could've been prevented, and Dawn would still be here today with her family. Whales deserve the utmost respect: their natural habitat is endless miles of deep sea, not restricted water pens to perform tricks on command. Eventually, all the overfishing and pollution of rivers and oceans is going to thin out the human herd, and at this rate, that's a good thing. Mother Nature has given us all the resources we need (clean air, water, farmland), but humanity is hellbent on self-destruction. Time's up.

I wonder what the p.h levels are in that water. If it's below 7.0 being to acidic. It could of eaten him from the inside out. This is very painfull for whales. Could you imagine drinking hydrochloric acid all day long? Sadly the first thing to get eaten by the acid is the intestines this is the thinnest skinned part of the digestive system. Sadly eventually the large and small intestines dissappear and this process could take months of intense pain as the animal excrement mixes with the blood, slowing clodding up in blood vessel. That poor animal should never have been in captivity. He was frustrated. He was two years old when he was captured and taken from his mother. The three people he killed were unfortunate victims of his anger and frustration. Those orcas that remain in captivity must be well cared for, and not breed any new calves in captivity. No more orca shows.

I I never been to Sea world and im glad i never have. Im from Boston at the aquarium they use to have dolphin and sea lion show. I used to cry when i was a kid saying why arent they in the ocean to my mom. Then they stopped the dolphin show cause they were dying. They need to be in the ocean

I thought serious, when the Sea World trainer died in 2009, and then again in Orlando Sea World in 2010 when trainer died there too, I thought maybe the would put Tillicum to sleep certainly after killing three people.

He could have had a whole different life: in the ocean, with his pod, doing what orcas should do which is swimming, hunting and living,

He never had q chance this poor whale. I live in vancouver and i know the "marina" he was in , in victoria. Its a boat and ship harbor. Very very closed in. Cruise ships dock/ed there and it was the first port in Canada. The water he was swimming in and locked in in yhe boat sheds before he even left canada was toxic. Ive seen blackfish probably 20 times, it makes me cry every time
