Funny enough part of why he started doing bad movies was due to a rough divorce in the nineties. She was spending a lot of their money and De Niro felt pressured to keep making more money. Interesting cause he later got back with that woman.

I’ve never heard anyone shit on DeNiro. It’s truly a unique take to criticize the man for making films that aren’t Raging Bull and Goodfellas. Like wtf he’s an old man who doesn’t want to wait around for Scorsese to call. I mean he just got an Oscar nom for The Irishman and he’s in Killers of The Flower Moon, but go ahead and denigrate him.

De Niro used to be the man.. He ain't the guy anymore though. That speech where he kept pausing, almost begging for applause was really sad and hard to watch.
