I heard that's pretty normal part of the industry. Comedians take sets from other pros in the business and repurpose the story to fit their own narrative. It's not that surprising if I watched Bill burr and it's similar I would still laugh. I'm sure Bill Burr probably too that joke from another comedian.

Why people keep saying it's "true"? It's definitely not true. I think people think because they like sex it's an addiction. I like a drink and even the feeling of being slightly intoxicated, but that is a far cry from being an alcoholic. Sex addicts destroy their lives like every other addict, except their crimes usually involve rape or child molestation. You think all those child molesting priests who get caught, get moved, get caught, get moved, get caught, get moved aren't sex addicts? The public picture IS of men who get caught, but they don't tell you about the unmarried ones who just terrorize women or keep prostitution businesses going.

I guess the difference between someone who does "it" constantly and frequently, compared to an addict would be how it affects the environment around them.? There actually IS such a thing as sex addiction. I personally know someone who has it. He was sexually abused repeatedly as a child and engaged in incestuous relationships (forced) w siblings from the time he was a very small child until past his adolescence. His therapist w knowledge of neurological issues, explained that this physically changed his brain, for life, and as a result he obsessively has the urge to find new partners, is attracted to children but doesn’t act on it, is never satisfied , never will be. It’s not something to joke about. It destroys people and relationships. Many folks with childhood trauma, spend their lives in various forms of addiction, mental health problems, ptsd, anxiety, ocd, etc etc
