My favorite things to do with my grandkids is watch a movie, have them brush my hair, and take 2 hour naps with them. 🤦‍♀️😂 But I have a wicked sense of humor and I tend to be their favorite grandparent. Of course, when those children become fixated on guns and violence, as a way to solve the problems caused by the lack of structure, healthy boundaries, and age-appropriate problem-solving in their lives, those same ignorant, uninvolved parents will take NO responsibility for what harm their kids do to others ! I’d like to know what “Parents are way to(o) up their kid’s butts these days” even MEANS... Back in the “ ‘70’s and ‘80’s”, there was next to NO awareness of pedophiles, and today’s global trafficking of CHILDREN was nowhere near the danger it is today, ALL throughout the U.S. ! If you read any books by Sociologists (Stephanie Koontz and Barbara Ehrenreich are both excellent), you’d “get” that Parenting has very different challenges now than 30-40+ years ago ! It’s every adult’s job to KEEP UP WITH societal/governmental changes, as well as to READ good Parenting books. These days, children need the love and support of well-informed, well-read parents-NOT the judgmental ignorance of people like yourself !
