Prior to Saban coaching at LSU, LSU had won 10 games a grand total of 4 times in their entire history. I was born in the late 70s, and until Saban coached at LSU for my entire life they had been *TERRIBLE* on par with Vandy. Then Saban happened. Saban changed the culture at LSU. In the 18 years since Saban started there, they have won 10 games 10 times. I have made my point. I don't like Saban. He is a jerk who I feel has shady (at best) recruiting practices. But to say he is anything other than an amazing coach is wrong.

Clemson fan here....giving you Bama fans credit for being good sports. This was us after you beat us last year by 18. A loss for either of our programs is really good motivation, as evidenced by each team getting revenge the next year. You all will obviously be back with a vengeance.

Sorry that had to be your experience. I'm in the state but am not going to pay premium for the "good" games. I therefore get to go to the nonconference nobody opponents. My first Bama game experience - Saban's first year - Lousiana Monroe. The fans were even terrible for that game. We definitely put way too much stock into this stuff. I fear the celebrity status for some of the team this year may have affected things in the end.

Igknight2019 yea they got lucky that Les miles screwed us with horrible offensive line and QB from 2012 to 2018 after he got fired Coach O needed a couple years to clean all that up and make it his team completely and we can see the difference on offense bc that’s the only reason we was losing to Bama we could not block their pass rush for 8 years if les miles has brains to fix the offense in 2012 then Bama is right now still looking for their first victory over us since 2009

As Alabama fans, we’ve enjoyed a run of success since 2008 that’s pretty much unprecedented. I’m just enjoying the moment as it will someday come to an end.

Agree to some extent, but i couldn't tell how much of it was players or coaches - a bit of both. Bad play calls didn't help, but those boys had no idea how to spur each other on. I was concerned about whether we could win because I knew we had some shortcomings, but I thought it would be slightly closer. To feel better, I keep reminding myself, I have no connection to the program so I should have no investment and that those young men should learn some life lessons from this one.

I'll give you that. They DID NOT show up against Texas. That loss was ugly. [Georgia EASILY could've won it had they showed up. Randall Bryant bama had the opportunity to score like 9 points in field goals that would’ve made the loss look better. ND might have a better defense, bama just knew it was pointless to kick a bunch of field goals when they needed touchdowns
