They're less dangerous than throwing a brick at a cop car because its license plate _proves_ to you that they're involved in a widespread conspiracy to poison your food and water.

I had a Karen of a psychiatrist who prescribed a low dose of aripiprazole (btw also expensive) for depression. I did experience a lift in my mood, but it gave me crazy akathisia to the point that I preferred the depression. When I went to tell her about it, she prescribed risperidone (btw dirt cheap, this one). Risperidone gave me the same akathisia, plus blurry vision. So I went to tell her risperidone also doesn't work for me, and she wanted to prescribe me yet another from this class, making a comment about my weight in the process. That's when I put my foot down and refused to take a third one from the same class that I really had no reason to expect any good to come out of. But what I find surprising is that akathisia is not mentioned among the side effects of second generation antipsychotics. Did I somehow get a very rare side effect to these drugs?

Abilify and Risperidone (at 4 mg dose) are known to cause Akathisia.

I could probably write a textbook on antipsychotics now. The atypicals don't work as well on schizophrenia but are better suited for deep depression.

I did not realize the way I was feeling was a side effect of seroquil now withdraws. feel like someone else is running my life. things I know are unrecognizable. mouth hurts all the time. colors are soo bright. my eyes can't adjust. covered in bruises. hands feet legs jeep falling asleep. face is tingling. missed period. smells are overwhelming. feels like I am eating bad smells. sick to stomach all the time. everything is over exaggerated. situations. people. even my dog seems to be crazy. wondering if I will ever feel normal again. going to Dr tomorrow. need something for sleep. grouchy all the time. I get angry over the smallest things. my husband doesn't understand my constant use of my phone to do research on WHY I'm feeling this way. long to free of all these feelings that have become my new normal nobody understands. feel lonely. my life is slipping away
