Out look
Naturally we buy a bike after watching its outlook.Many time seller polish his bike when selling. so it must be checked whether bike is polished or naturally new
Engine
engine is the main part of a bike . we should check carefully about the engine of a second hand Bike. os any noise or rattling sound is coming from the engine or not.
Vibration.
if there is any major vibration on engine or bike then it not a good sign about the engine.
Bike top speed
ride the bike and check its top speed.if it is very low than normal dont go for it
Meter.
It is important to check the meter of a second hand bike to check how much kilometres has it run. but sometimes kilometres can be reduced by technician so you should check the tyres of the bike. if meter says 20000 kilometres but tyres have no bits at all then may be kilometres reading had been reduced . another way to check if meter reading is correct you have to check chain spocket and disc brake. if both are gone thin it is possible than meter is something wrong
Suspension
always check suspension if there is any oil leakage than suspension are gone.
Chasis No.
check the bike chasis no. if it is clearly mentioned on the bike. if it is not clear or anything tried to make it messi than it is not okey to buy the bike. may be bike is not genuine.
