I was in a few different Bookoffs last year and patience and luck can pay off. I visited the Bazaar stores around Tokyo. None were as good as the selection in your video but were still super fun. Thank you for sharing this video.

Thanks for watching. I've visited some in and around Tokyo + Osaka too and I think because those areas are more populated and see more tourists, the interesting pieces and the bargains don't last too long. This location in particular does have more than average too which is nice

Makes sense. I revisited some of the Tokyo stores and some stock turned over quickly so it pays to revisit regularly. It's fun too. I have now subscribed to your channel and look forward to watching past and future videos. I lived in Japan too and it brings back happy memories.

Wow, I'd love to watch shop in Japan. Here are some cool ones I noticed in $USD - Seiko Gray Willard for $745, Seiko Pepsi Sea Urchin for $150, Seiko 7548 quartz diver $230, Citizen Chronomaster $1650, Frogman 30th Ann.$540, Riseman $40, Bulova Devil Diver $320, Hamilton Ani-digi $230. Lots of cool JDM digitals. I love the Lord Matic you picked out. I'd love to find a birth year ('69) Seiko like this one.

Good video! I used go there often till 4 to 5 years ago. I might going there next weekend, then. I found and bougt Nomos Orion 36 mm fully serviced at a price of 98,000 JPY at another BOOKOFF Super Bazaar in Okazaki some three years ago.

Im off to Japan in a couole of month's. Dping my research on watches . Can you tell me what is this name of the shop and when i would possibly get the best deals here. Any suggestions how should i go about shoping for best deals, such as what tome of year, which shops specifically? Many thanks for.your video learnt a lot..

Often it's just luck finding the best deals. Second hand is the way to go at places like bookoff and 2nd Street. Just go into every shop you see and have a look 😅

@sympathic21 it really depends on what you're looking for. I think most stores have rolex, there are a lot of smaller stores with antique watches. You can treasure hunt by searching google maps in the area you're staying in

Yep. Bookoff is a buy and sell shop. They have people walk in all the time to sell stuff. They don't pay particularly good prices to sellers though

I just saw a Full Metal Blue Camo G-Shock Square (GMW-B5000TCF) for 90000yen. I think that's about $560 right now. That's not bad, especially if the watch was kept in good condition.

2:36 SBDC181 is actually a Willard(not Turtle) collaboration with Helly Hansen,the Norwegian clothing manufacturer. 6r movement,not the 8L. Also the next watch is also a Willard. They look very similar. Crown guard is much more pronounced on the Willard. It's even said that the Willard is the(Og Turtle) 6309's daddy in the chronology.

Thanks for watching! It might be tricky getting to this shop from Tokyo. This one is in Sakae, Nagoya so you'd need to get the bullet train there and back. There are plenty of other bookoff locations in Tokyo and other shops too. Look into somewhere like Nakano Broadway if you haven't already

I'd say these prices are fairly standard. If you're in Tokyo try Nakano Broadway. Most shops there have modern Rolex and omega, but there are some interesting little vintage shops tucked away too

Good to know Bookoff sells higher end watches i've been eyeing out a GS or a Citizen Chronomaster for a while now, maybe i ca luck out and find one when i got to Japan.

The larger locations will generally have some. In particular you can look out for bookoff plus or bookoff bazar locations for a better chance of finding one

You'd have to be very lucky to find a kurono in a place like this. They're just as rare in Japan as they are everywhere else

Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it! For 4k (I'm guessing usd) with the exchange rate at the moment you should have plenty of options new and used. If new, look at somewhere like bic camera and either get tax free or sign up to their points program for 10% store credit. Second hand you can check out Nakano Broadway which has a lot of shops to browse.

It really depends on your preferences. My picks would be: Quartz: SBGX341 (used), SBGP009 (new) Mechanical (used): SBGR087, SBGR053, SBGR001 Spring Drive (used): SBGA085, SBGA469(my favorite), SBGA203 You might have to hunt around to find some. You can also check places like Komehyo, 2nd Street and other chain stores

I was a few days ago in Japan to buy Watches - No, all prices are fixed. The most parts of this Video were filmed in book-offs. In Japan you can never talk about prices. A absolut No Go. These Shops are No bazaars...

The commentary is okay but the filming is so bad. Out of focus and too fast. Might as well just use a GoPro or Insta360 then reframe the video... Getting a headache watching
