Clippers had more size and they were still so lazy with rebounding, OKC will put in more effort and they aren’t going to rely on iso scoring, their bench is also better than Clippers. Rebounding will be an issue but they may punish Dallas in ways that Clippers didn’t

@@kingzelo1049 I'd be surprised if they can, Chet was extremely disciplined all season long, he averages less fouls than each of Gafford/Lively and in 10 mins more per game. Even so, Jaylin Williams has actually been playing well, so expect to see him at C for almost all of the non Chet minutes. The player Dallas needs to get in foul trouble is Lu Dort, because if the refs let it get physical, he's gonna wear Luka like a winter coat. If anything, the C battle is advantage OKC because Chet is going to outscore Gafford by more than 2-3 rebound advantage he will give.

What I am concerned about is the speed the thunder plays with and lack of points the Mavs bench makes. I hope Jaden Hardy will get playing room to keep scoring up when Ky or Luka take a break. I don’t know why he hasn’t been getting much PT but I think it has something to do with his defense. So my hope is for him to put more energy into staying in front of his man and him actually getting playing time.

Jokic is in trouble, in a multitude of ways. If Minnesota beats Jokic, and wins the championship, teams will have to get bigger, in order to match up with Minnesota. When other teams get bigger, in order to match up with Minnesota, the side affect will be that they're able to implement the same strategy as Minnesota against Jokic, by throwing multiple bigs at him. Jokic has been a beneficiary of the small ball era, which may be coming to an end.

@@SDesWriter no doubt he’ll keep getting numbers. 28 isn’t HIS numbers. That’s well below his average and I’m pretty sure below his playoff average. We’re a better team when he’s confident in his shot and we’re going to need that to make a real run.

@@johntyson it’s not confidence. He has a sprained knee. I was an athlete in HS and college and got a sprained knee once. I had to take 2-3 months off everything more strenuous than walking and then had to rehab to get back to almost what I used to be (and it still f’ing hurts 30 years later). His 3 pt shot isn’t coming back. He. Spent 12 years perfecting his technique and can’t simply alter it to deal with his inability to properly use his legs. He needs the summer to rehab (and possible surgery) to get back to normal. He’s going to be inconsistent to bad from 3 for the playoffs. The good news is that taking away his 1-10 he still had 25 pts on 50% shooting. If he focuses on that he could easily get another 3-5 shots a game and get his 30-35 (and still hit a short 3 or two when it’s open). Hopefully Kidd is telling him that and he adjusts.

@@milesbell5374 in another podcast they said Luka was in practice and shooting like crap from distance because he has to push off his right leg, but can’t. There’s no way to fix it without rest and rehab so hopefully he plays mainly 20’ and in where he’s still shooting 50% or better.

lol Mavs fans are mad cocky about this matchup but at the same time they keep hedging their bets by saying Luka isn’t healthy so if they win, it’s because they’re better, but if they lose it’s because they’re banged up. 😂😂 let’s just play ball guys. What happens happens. You’ve got 2 great teams going at it and it should be a lot of fun. Let’s just enjoy the ride

Mavs have a Jaylen Williams problem. I watched the guys do the 90's draft with Legler. Legler said Kevin Johnson and the guys were less than enthused. Well, there is a compilation video of guys saying who was the first person to bust their azz in the NBA. Guess whose name got mentioned the most. Kevin Johnson. He even made Iverson cry. Most guys are too young. I get it. Why do I bring him up? Shai and Jaylen Williams skipped the Jordan fadeaway and instead downloaded KJ moves. So if you don't figure that out, you have big problems. Many pundits give Chet a little credit to Chet, but usually right before they fawn about the greatness of Wemby. Here is my difference. Wemby, with his extraordinary talent, looks to explore all the possibilities on the basketball court. Chet only sticks to winning plays. It is a difference. Denver has a problem with Ant Man. They can't stop him, but his biggest asset is his brain. Were too busy comparing him to Mike and laughing at his jokes, but are missing out on his intellect. Better beat him now. Trust me! Denver has to take a look at DeAndre Jordan. Otherwise, what is he there for. I only saw Dre play one game this year, but he looked darn near like Lob City Jordan. Gotta think outside the box. Looks like Watson is the only one that even has a chance with Ant. Do not underestimate the hunger of Conley. I'm losing faith in NBA scouting. They are obviously foegetting the eye test. How does EVERYONE miss on Nas Reid. Better yet, it explains why the missed on Trayce Jackson Davis. The Knicks-Pacers is incredible. Haliburton is one of those super annoying guys that just won't leave you alone. Brunson is annoying in that he does't really look like a hooper, is noq blowi g kisses to the crowd like Oubre, and he said he "is a vibe" when you don't think so. Not only are these guys annoying, they were both traded. They can't be that good...can they? The thing about these guys is they are ultra-relentless. They will never quit. They both have chips on their shoulders the size of dump trucks. Neither USED to play D. They are now and definitely will have to this series. With Brunson, he has to mix it up and can't get tunnel vision. I call it that "Kobe Bryant". It can get you to the upper floors but not the top floors. With Burton, he can't get too far into clowning or trolling. Some people you don' t play with. You don't play with Brunson, or Dante or Hart or McBride, cause they will come see about you. Now Kleber is out. Who will step up. I see Exum, aka Young Diaw and Hardy. Hardy is disappointing right now. He didn't build on last year. He's not as explosive as last year. If he got hurt, I get it. If he is just not maximizing his opportunity, in sports, regret eats you from the inside, not for weeks or months, but decades. Get busy young fella! Jimmy Butler...woulda beat Boston...They need to take "woulda" out of the basketball dictionary. That sounds like a fan. Difference between Jaylen Brown and Jimmy Himmy? Brown worked on his left hand. Jimmy felt he didn't need to. Just an observation. Woulda beat...Derrick White called Cap. Buckle up! These young cats are here!! Old guys can't wait for the Olympics!

You probably shouldn’t write a book for one post. I gave up halfway through. Braun dominated Edward’s when he defended him. I believe Ant never scored on him. He has the perfect skill set for it, but his offense has been mediocre so I don’t know if Malone would go to him that way. Watson isn’t quick enough but can challenge his jump shot. But Denver has no one in the starting lineup who can challenge Edwards. They’re going to have to do something unexpected. Maybe start a designated defender and let a scorer play with the 2nd team.

@@SDesWriterBrother, not sure why you are suggesting what I do on MY post. Braun did what? Dominate? And yet Ant had 43. So your remedy is pretty much saying what I said, except in my BOOK, I said it in less words, and I named the guy. You don't know what I'm really doing with my posts. You have more to say, run it. But you can't school me. Denver got handled. Their counters got countered. Hopefully Braun can DOMINATE Ant again, for Denver's sake

@@matthewwangerin6951 I can suggest anything I want. You can’t tell me what to do with my replies, genius. I wasn’t “Schooling” you, I was pointing out that the ONLY player Ant struggled against was Braun. You named Watson but he got blown by a couple times because he’s not quick enough. So my remedy was the opposite of what you said because you suggested someone who already failed. You’re a weird dude….

Big reason I watch jj is because he clearly watches the games. American sports media is terrible at the moment. I’m pretty sure chuck, shaq & Kenny haven’t watched one Mavs game during these playoffs. They’ll be in for a shock when the results start coming in cause we all know they’ll be watching highlights. Maybe.
