another easily missed moment of dialogue from wheatley is when he fixes the crap turrets during your escape, and he's talking about playing cards. if you fuck with the excursion funnel so it hits halfway through the wall, he starts going on about his plan, and you can leave and go back in it and he gets increasingly frustrated with you for ruining his great speeches

One day I loaded Portal 2, got to the boss fight, put myself in god mode, and just listened to every square inch of dialogue. It was great.

This is such a cool detail because it really shows how the intellegence spheres provide ideas to the main core, being GLaDOS or Wheatley

This scene does a really good job at showcasing how Wheatley was supposed to work; this proving that auxiliary cores can, do and will insert there own thoughts into the primary core🤓

the sheer amount of Wheatley’s lines is insane and phenomenal. i always wait around at the turret production line and the neurotoxin generator just to hear them. if you wait by the turret line, he’ll eventually come up with the solution for you. so he’s not a moron! usually.

This is a side note, but i love the slight tonal contrast of the two boss fights. GLaDOS is hyper intelligent as an ai so all of her cores have to do with overloading her with information. The one that is constantly spouting out a cake recipe, the one that asks questions constantly out of curiosity, the one that is just pure seething rage. All of wheatleys cores are used to overload him in the same way, but because he was designed to be stupid theyre all meant to overload that stupidity. The core that only cares about space, the core that tries way too hard to be smart and badass, the purple one which is meant to state facts but is just pure self doubt, put downs, and worried thoughts. Its the same fight but tuned differently due to their core programming.

one of the youtubers who warn about spoilers, and does not just insert them into the video unnecessarily.(even though I already went through Portal 2) you deserve a medal!

I still can’t believe that after the adventure sphere helped take down Wheatley, he became an exo and then later died, got revived, and became a guardian, just to die again later.

Not me always hearing this line anway because I love all the personality spheres and wanted to hear them all talk as long as possible everytime and always heard Rick say this.

Portal 2 is quite possibly my most favorite game ever.

I loved the Wheatley boss so much I went through the effort to hear all of his voice lines. He sounds like a class clown who reached the breaking point, he's still very quippy and jokey, but you can tell that he's abnormally serious than he usually is.

Mah boi Rick is the humour of the entire game.

Also, if you abandon him at the beginning, he mentions it.

I loved Wheatley. When I was escaping from the lab and he had to hack the door controls and was just hovering and talking about what he was going to try next, I waited for like three minutes before I realized I was supposed to solve the puzzle and find a way out myself. 😂 At some point I realized the game was trolling me for waiting. 😅
