You might think that you know your house like the back of your hand, but so did a lot of people we’ll be featuring in our video. You’d be surprised at the people who found secret rooms hidden right in their homes. Some people are even lucky enough to find valuables! One man found two steamer trunks filled with family mementos that he was fortunate enough to be able to pass on to the rightful owner. A couple in Rome found something of enormous religious significance hidden right in plain sight in their apartment.

My great grandparents own an old Victorian house. While exploring as a child I found a hidden room that was more than likely the safe haven of a Jewish family during WW II. I found an old Yamaka and a Torah bound with a gold Star of David chain. After a good twenty years since my childhood I still wear the chain I found despite not being Jewish myself.

True story. My family and I built our own home 20 years ago, it is a huge house in the mountains of Colorado. There is a huge secret room in the house. The house is up against a mountain and there is a basement that is half buried and half exposed. Under the study, in the mountainside, there is a secret room that was not in the blueprints. The room is about 15 feet tall and is an octagon shape. My family lost the house to bankruptcy and when we knew we had to leave we drywalled over the opening to the room. We never told the bank about the room and as far as I know it is still undiscovered.

Some years ago a public school in Århus had its gym renovated and a carpenter went below the floor - only to come up again in a hurry: It's full of explosives! The school had been used by the German Wehrmacht during the war and they had made some preparations for demolition or some other crazy "last stand". And left without saying a word about this. Old explosives may turn rather unstable, so the Danish army experts were very careful in removing this shit. Weird to think that generations of pupils had been jumping around on that. A scout club house in Thisted had a container with chemical weapons in the cellar, also from the Germans. I'm glad that my own house was build in 1961.

I lived in a house built in 1875 or something. My roommate inherited the house from his aunt. He had built a display in an old bedroom. When we ripped apart the display, we found a closet that had been blocked for years. Inside were old photos of his family and an old coin collection belonging to his aunt. Nothing major but was awesome none the less.

My auntie's old house was converted from a grain mill or something I think and in the basement they looked at old drawings of the layout and deduced that a room had been walled off. That became their office since they knocked the wall in.

if you get black mould, use an old spray bottle, the type you pump by hand, fill it with slightly watered beach, so that it wont be to thick to spray, spray directly onto mold, and leave it there dont rinse off, better to have peeled paint than black mould, you can repaint latter, when the mould has completely gone

I found a secret in my old house, in the basement I think it was a slave holding place, the home was on a farm so makes sense if slaves lived there for safety or worse.

There’s a mansion in DC that could be on this list; it’s called the mansion on O street. It used to be 3 row houses but the woman who owned it first knocked the walls down separating the row houses, making it a mansion. She also created a bunch of secret rooms in the mansion. In other words, you should always check to see if a bookshelf or mirror hides a door if you decide to go there. Oh, and it’s also a hotel now, and it’s a museum

I had a secret room in my old house. It was in my mom's bedroom bathroom. We had mirrors that opened into littles places for makeup and other bathroom stuff. But one of them opened to a secret room! Unfortunately, there was nothing in it but my parents hid birthday and Christmas presents in there. Also, whenI played hide "n" seek with my brother and dad my dad always hid in there but me and my brother could never find him. Only my mom and dad knew about it.
