Cynthia or as I liked to call her "Grandma Cindy" was my grandmother. I am Anthony (Tony) Tutini's second daughter. I have all good memories of my grandmother and my great grandmother Lisa (Cynthia's mother) Something else you may want to include is her relationship with God. Great job! I bought the book a number of years ago. Her mother was a talented classical singer and very smart. During the war, she made a deal with the German officer who was influential in that area of Latvia: she would sing at the officer's club free but, when and if the Russians came, he would get her and some family out of Latvia. Fortunately that officer kept his word....

LeBeau was the guy you needed in a German prison camp. Sewed German uniforms, cooked, tempted Sgt. Schultz with strudel. And went to the cooler for 30 days to complete a mission. Aside from Hogan, Kinch was the guy behind the scenes, and the most level headed. Carter and Newkirk, great German accents when needed. Still love this show after all the years.

To me one of the funniest episodes of Hogan's Heroes is the one where the heroes are trying to accomplish rigging a signal on the guard tower and to distract them Le Beau pretends to be taking snapshots of Helga in her bathing suit! Later, when they have to reconfigure the device Newkirk throws a knife at a German staff car's tire so he can use the jack to raise the tower the desired height and as the guards are being set askew all the prisoners in the yard lean over in unison the direction of the tilt! Hilarious!!

Have you ever made any on Colonel Crittenden (Bernard Fox), Sgt Richard Baker (Kenneth Washington), Marya (Nita Talbot) Sgt Olsen (Stewart Moss) and on the fellow who ran the dog truck Oscar Schnitzer (Walter Janovitz)? Some are interesting secondary characters, like General von Schlomm (Harold Gould), General Metzger (Gavin MacLeod), Foster (William Christopher), Captain Roberts the one with the Gestapo Double (Walter Janovitz) he was famous in tons of TV shows we loved, and finally - there were two Gertrude Linkmeyer's in the show, Alice Ghostley first then Kathleen Freeman. I am sure if you are as big a Hogan's Heroes fan as I am, one or most of these people would be interesting to make videos about with regard to Hogan's Heroes. The people I listed are characters who were on the show more than once, and we're integral secondary characters we also loved. I look forward to what you find out about them. Another thing, it might be fun to put together an episode where you cover the parts of the sabotage complex, the bits and pieces in the show, maybe a fantasy map of the camp and the tunnel system including the tree stump exit and the emergency exit they talked about. Also the tunnel exits in Klink's quarters, under the stove, and others in the various barracks. I'm sure some of your viewers may have already got ideas on this.

Such an alluring and intriguing temptress! So, her daughter Lisa was Brando’s kid during/after her role in “Bedtime Story “ while she’s still married to that Tutini actor? Right before she goes on her fling with Bob Crane in “Hogan’ Heroes “? I think this speaks more to either how unhappy she was in her marriage or her true moral character.

I enjoyed your video and you did a great job, very classy. I would not have been so lenient on her husband: He was a jerk of The First Order, made her quit the show, (which she loved doing obviously), and then left her right after. Her career never recovered, and she gave up what would have been a very lucrative six year run after putting her trust in him, attempting to make her marriage work. I encourage everyone to read her book “Escape To Freedom“, it is very enlightening, and honestly my heart breaks for her.

Great clip and subject. Cynthia was just wonderful as 'Helga', it's kind of like the role was created for her, or she created the role/character, etc. Sigrid Valdis was nice but I think the scenes between Cynthia (Helga) and Bob Crane (Col. Hogan) were the best, there was more warmth and romance. A shame they were both married in that had they been single it would have been easier on them and their partners. Ref another scene Cynthia was in (and great research on the others), she did two short dialogue scenes in the Pilot for 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E.' in 1964 (United Network Command for Law and Enforcement) called Solo or SOLO, referring to the lead spy character 'Napoleon Solo' played by Robert Vaughn, as they were at first doing a TV version of James Bond and they had just one lead spy, later they developed Illyia Kuriakin (David McCallum) and they worked together as a team of two, which was copied by I Spy, Star Trek and Get Smart. Cynthia's two short scenes show her and another woman in glamourous evening dresses (she's in an emerald green dress) at a hotel where 'Napoleon', suave UNCLE Agent has just arrived, flirting with 'Napoleon' briefly as he walks past them, or they/she walks past him. It's brief but it's almost a full/mid length shot of Cynthia, just enough to recognise her as she faces the camera. I don't have the video but here's a hyperlink to a website (Lisa's Frame Capture Library) showing two images/scenes of her in the Pilot, plus all the other episodes and other TV series too, framecaplib.com/mfulib/html/episodes/indices/solo/thumb05.htm . Two images, Part 5 Image 109 (green dress), and Part 6 Image 141 (the same green dress), kind regards.

I rewatch the entire series of hogans heroes at least once a year if not more, I’m not even old enough to of watched it when it aired but it’s one of my favorites and she was better in every way than Hilda, it’s too bad she couldn’t finish the show or at least more seasons.

Loved watching Hogan's Heroes since I was a kid and always had a total crush on Cynthia Lynn. She was a total babe.

I'm sure you've seen "Auto-Focus". How much of it is true is questionable. I think it's some of the best acting Greg Kinnear has ever done and of course Willem Dafoe was as good as ever.

Season 1 Pilot Episode . She was not only in Colonel klink's office . But in a following scene She was down in the tunnels with the rest of the Escape Crew as the manicurist . Too bad that storyline didn't get a chance .

@@johnrettig1880 - and in the pilot, Leon Askin was still a colonel. The Pilot was also in black and white and the operations in the tunnel included a sauna, barber shop, souvenir manufacturing and counterfeiting German currency. Klemperer had a deeper German accent and HOGAN’s crew included a Russian. Carter was a lieutenant.

No. They actually though that it was coming back for another season. It was cancelled during the seasonal break.

Cynthia's daughter Lisa was the "love child" of Marlon Brando, a "trist" while on the set of "Bedtime Story".

Listen, Ol Bob Crane was nailing everything that walked onto the set. Nita Talbot is still alive and well in NY. I would love to see an interview with her and get a "death bed" confession. I bet he nailed her too.
