Crazy how the longest and one of most complex themes of the game is for such a small area. The player usually exit the area way before the song loops a single time.

That really is interesting. I haven't played the game, only listened to the soundtrack, and Secret of the Forest was instantly one of the standouts.

When I played the game for the first time and got to the area I almost left without hearing it loop, but I just had to stand there and hear it play for probably 10 minutes straight. The beauty of the piece almost brought me to tears

@@SquidsUnite great game, my fave soundtrack ever. Fave track is probably Depths Of The Night. Also highly recommend various arrange and fan albums from over the years: Chronotorious by Bad Dudes; The Brink Of Time (official Chrono Trigger acid jazz arrange album); Chronology (Jazz Tribute To Chrono Trigger) by OCremix Jazz Collective; etc.

Secret of the Forest has always had a special place in my heart; this song was my introduction to non-functional harmony (shoutout to 8-bit music theory), and has seriously helped expand my horizons as a composer, and as an arranger who tries to re-harm. But WOW. This arrangement was f*cking beautiful. You guys KILLED it, along with the V2R trio, what an AWESOME collab. Honestly, I'm at a loss for words; I don't know how to describe this arrangement, other than "creative". I love the angle + approach you guys have with your arrangements, it's really inspiring to me and makes me want to push myself as a musician and an arranger, keep up the great work!!!

He is truly amazing - such incredible stylistic range from the 'wild' Zelda Main Theme solo to the exquisite beauty of the solo here. Never get tired of listening to Zorsy solos.

Wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow WOW! I swear if this isn't Zorsy's best playing/composition/ and conducting to date. You really amaze me dude. Honestly everyone was on point with their cues. I was blown away by every string player and then seeing Tim there I got hype af! Mark was 100% in the pocket as always. There's too much to say lol. low key, one of the most underrated songs in the great soundtrack. Most would go for Frog's theme, or Corridors of Time, but this song just be vibin, despite only being used in 2 relatively small areas in the SNES release(Guardia Forest and Cursed Woods). This version is awesome.

I never knew this because when that song came out I had not heard of Chrono Trigger. Actually it never ceases to surpise me how hip-hop artists sample some of the best motifs from all different places.
