Commented this on another reaction to this episode but considering Sheera's response to the end it feels appropriate to put it here too. It's understandable that they took Kafka into custody. To be fair, they JUST dealt with a powerful Kaiju that could turn into a human and used that ability to infiltrate an organization that specializes in dealing with Kaiju. Their reaction does make sense. They have centuries of history with Kaiju and none of it has ever been positive. And now that they know for sure that the archives you who can shapeshift into a human, they need to know who's in charge of that body and if he can maintain control. Finally, you saw how much effort it took for them to take down a Kaiju with a fortitude of nine. His is almost 10 times greater at 9.8. Even though he is exhausted, they are too. Add to that the fact that their three strongest fighters can't really use their suits right now, so they're just regular people. They can't take him unless he allows it. They have every reason to be cautious. But you will notice they didn't start shooting right away. They are giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Kinda appreciate one of those stories that doesn't drag the secret for so long, almost dissatisfied when Kafka was interrupted against the Kaiju no.10 fight but then the Yoju bomb came, where Kafka really needed to transform.

What I love most about this episode, is that you're left wondering if it's gonna be Kafka revealing his secret or not. By showing us the background characters putting up in incredible defence and just barely make it out alive because Kafka interfered. Like, they were all out of juice and that bomb would have absolutely nuked that area. It's insane how each episode just keeps getting better!

It is initially frustrating that after everything Kafka has done, this is the response he gets. But I also get that it is necessary procedure with what has already happened. I also believe that they really do intend on protecting him and this is the best way to do it

The thing that reminds me of how the Yoju bomb detonated is how they used to perform upper atmosphere testing of nuclear bombs, the farther up a nuke is detonated, the impact it has on the ground is reduced by magnitudes, they nuked 5 five scientists by detonating a bomb 2.6 kilometers directly above them, to prove it could be done safely. The shock wave could be felt but it didn't faze the men at all nor was the radiation which didn't exceed more than twice the normal background. Judging by the destruction the Yoju bomb caused it probably was propelled a kilometer at most, the shock wave seen here is pretty realistic in its impact but it would have been a different story if it were to have detonated at ground level, punching it away was literally the smartest thing to do in this scenario as the intent was to vaporize the whole base and level the surrounding city it seems.

Btw Kikoru didn't overheat from just one attack it's cause she was exerting herself and suit the whole fight up to that point just like Hoshina
