I sold dozens of high dollar KAC rifles over a period of a couple of years, mostly SR-25 packages. All I got from Trey was a couple of t-shirts, a knife, and a lecture on how to just shut up and take what they sold me, rather than complain about fitment and finish issues. The only KAC I kept was a stripped SR-15 Match lower with a serial number ending in 223, with a URX Match upper.

I assembled my AR from 80% to complete back in 2019 for around $1100 (excluding optic/WML), it's nearing the 10k rounds mark and it's only recently started showing signs of wear. Had to swap out an extractor and the barrel's starting to open up as soon as it gets a little toasty (416 barrel). Point is, you don't need an expensive OEM setup for endurance. Picking a quality BCG and Barrel already covers 90% of wear and tear issues for many years.

this is true, the problem with lower end guns and parts is that the likelihood of having poor quality or malfunctions due to lose tolerances in the machining process or just simply cheap parts breaking is quite high. you can be on the lucky side of probability and get a good quality gun or parts and it will work fine and last, but why take the gamble when there's so many quality options on the market now in the mid tier quality range for under 2k. that you can buy and use with confidence that its going to work and last. a lot of the lower end companies like psa and anderson for example use their customers as their qc department and thats shit. companies that knowingly produce and sell low quality parts and guns to their customers dont deserve to be patronized.

I’ve had 6 different BCM rifles… costing MUCH less than rifle in video!! 2 rifles needed gas rings replaced at 6,000-7,000 rounds… and 1 rifle (my 11.5”) needed an extractor replaced at like 10,000 rounds… other than that all have lasted 10,000 rounds PLUS! 1 rifle, my original 16” has almost 20,000 rounds and has NEVER needed anything replaced!!! and STILL shoots 2.5” groups!

Agree. If you can get an SR15 at near MSRP (high 2K range?) it's a good rifle, but its proprietary bolt (however bombproof they claim) *if* it breaks good luck getting a replacement. I think what he said would be true 20 years ago. I spent $400 on my Aero (minus I don't use their BCG) and it's run flawlessly for over 2500 rounds; for more premium brands like BCM, DD, LWRC, etc. I'd be pissed if they DIDN'T go minimum 10K.

I was stationed in DC part of the A Co "Commander and Chief Guard" aka Honorguard, and had White House clearance to do ceremonies. This was 25 years ago when Clinton was in office. He used to run on Ft. McNair. The counter snipers used to freak out when we had our windows open on our Barracks. The SS would have our fire pins removed to do ceremonies on our m-14s. It was funny though they allowed us to carry muskets and have gunpowder to do fire demos. Just missing a simple lead projectile which easily you could do. Yes, I was in the only unit in the military that was issued muskets, M-14s and M-4s. We also had to wear wigs. Not happy about that one.

So true but the devs made the KAC SR16 such an ASS rifle in game. Has some of the worst kick/recoil:dispersion despite being the most accurate rifle in game and supposed to be that in their own words too. Even after the big update. G36 still reacts in a way it’s dirt easy to stay on target but they just did KAC dirty

He is an interesting and funny guy, but sounds childish and insecure talking about expensive guns all day. Expensive guns can be cool and interesting sometimes, but holding one doesn’t make you the smartest guy in the room.

@@bmrz38 with that being said; he's probably shot more rounds in 2024 than you or I have ever shot in our lives combined. The fact remains that when you have as much experience that he has with multiple different platforms and calibers then what he says holds huge weight and merit. I'm not saying that everything he says is the end all be all but when people like him, Administrative Results, Garand Thumb etc...say something then the chances are what they're saying is something you should take highly into consideration because they've done it and seen it first hand ya know? Food for thought!

As someone who’s been in gun industry for 20 years and worked for a well named AR mfg for 10 years. Honestly , spend the best money you can on the bolt and the barrel for your AR , everything else is negotiable. Plus also proper assembly with gunsmith tools like a Midwest industries reaction rod to align bolt to barrel extension, and using a torque wrench during assembly, sometimes people heavy hand the assembly and that misaligns parts.

Regarding ambi bolt release, there is Redi-Catch that uses standard mag release to act as bolt catch when depressed. Would be very nicely paired with a rifle that has ambi bolt release.

Training is supreme, but outside of that, reliability and longevity is in the rifle itself. Efficiency and capability are in the optics and accessories. Accuracy, outside of barrel quality and trigger, rests on the shooter's ability.
