Like I’m not a wheelchair user but the whole chat was in shambles after “he’s faking, he can stand up!” bc like yeah, Jacob did acknowledge ambulatory wheelchair users kind of, but it’s kinda up to said ambulatory wheelchair users which characters they want to claim and they wanted Gerhman (idk how to spell that shit either) Hope he speaks on that learning even in just a little post or something bc that was a really _really_ weird hill for him to die on.

I included the clip bc I found it funny that some of chat would not trust Jacob was right about a lore/character thing (that Gehrman's use of a wheelchair is not what it initially seems) bc he didn't say it right but he couldn't defend himself with the lore the bc that would spoil the literal end of the game. A conclusion that Gerhman is lying about needing a wheelchair is not that hot of a take but it is a take that only works if you know why he would do that, which is the final plot point. If Jacob only knew what chat knew at this point (including that Gehrman can walk) you're right that it would be a weird thing to be defensive about

I’m also an ambulatory wheelchair user and I was of two minds because I can totally get why people were upset and it probably wasn’t an able bodied person’s joke to make but boy did I howl at “Gherman can teleport behind you ‘nothing personnel kid’”
