Hey love the channel just wanted to say one helpful tip with your snowmobile is you should put a piece of wood under Track to keep it of the concrete the concrete will ruin snowmobile tracks

Them ds 80s are actually good little bikes I owned 2 of them before a long time ago when I was 14 and one was original and the other had a 1978 rm100 engine on it along with 1983 rm80 front forks and swing arm, shock and wheels i called it the hillbilly big wheel.....

The typical issue with those is a float issue I've had 2 like that. Try adjusting the float or maybe if the compressions low it might be that but my 2 ds80s have had the same issue and my friends did too

Your petcock or fuel inlet might also be clogged I've seen that

So you have to do something beside pluging carb to stop oil injection i heard if you don’t remove oil injection gear it will cease up .
@gtisid5 жыл бұрын
check inlet manifold rubber for splits, clean carb inside and out for starters.

Omg man. I am l looking at buying a ds80....same price(cus it's a trade). One is a 1979 and one is a 1994 or 1995. I've looked up specs and found out that any ds80 before 1981 apparently only has 6.5hp while any after 1981 has 7.6hp. I cant decide on which one tbh how does yours run?

If you wanted to you could probably get Plastics for the Suzuki 80 and a CRF 100f is a great bike I have one and love it the only thing I don’t like abt it is the suspension is to soft
@reusedtape51065 жыл бұрын
Gavin Bixler yeah I can agree my first bike was a crf100 the suspension was really soft. Tbh if your looking for an upgrade the kx100 is what I went to next great bike lots of power

The swingarm and rims wont rust. They are aluminum. Aluminum will tarnish.

My 1986 ds80 was a 6 speed and it said it on the ignition cover
@hashtag_moto_5 жыл бұрын
Idk I think you're thinking of an rm80. Every year I believe of ds80s from 1978 all the way to 2000 when they were discontinued for the jr80s production were all 5 speeds. (Same bike different plastics). On the other hand rm80s and rm60s were 6 speeds

those ds80 have crankcase injection using the pump, look it up. If your pump dies then your going to blow the bottom end by design.
@2vintage5 жыл бұрын
Yeah I run prefix in it.because the pump stopped working.
@freeridemoto71335 жыл бұрын
@@2vintage That engine will implode soon enough it the bottom end isn't getting lubricated with oil then, I would sell it I have owned a couple ds80s they have some interesting technology but most you find run like crap because people do "mods" like that and they were never designed for them.
@DawidSlodyczka5 жыл бұрын
Sucks you sold the lt 500 but oh well, you'll get another one probably for cheap anyways in the future👀
