It doesn’t “Need” to be closed from the outside but some airlines have the ground crew close them but some the flight attendants will

It doesnt need to be closed from the outside! As a former flight attendant that worked on the 777, 330,340,767, and the 380 it can be done either way! It depends on the operating procedure of the airline

Boeing doors are the worst doors to operate. Absolutely cumbersome design.

No not really; i worked on the 767, 777 and they are easy to operate. Although i didnt work on the 787 but its just similar to the 777

@@HA-gx2dg Yeah the two non traditional doors. 767 is motorized and slides up, copy of the DC-10 and L-1011. 777 and 787 are Airbus copies after their patents expired.
