1: That bird looks disturbingly dinosaur-like. 2: I love how, in between kicks, it looks at the guy controlling the snake as if to say "I know you're the one doing this! Stop bringing my prey back to life!"
@barryindustries9 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I meant more that this bird looked more like a raptor than I was expecting. You can definitely see how it descended from dinosaurs, more so than a lot of other birds, and that makes the resemblance a bit disconcerting, especially looking at how it hunts.

+shairaptor You are absolutely correct, I saw a hummingbird yesterday and swear to God I almost shat my pants as I thought a T-Rex was out to get me.
@ShadeSlayer19116 жыл бұрын
Well, birds are dinosaurs, so of course it looks dinosaur-like. That's like saying that humans look primate-like. It's probably very smart too, which is why it didn't immediately go for the rubber snake.
@Mr.Obongo3 жыл бұрын
Of course it does it’s in the terror bird family of birds, look up how the rest of them looked. This is the only species alive today.

Had to click just to see what on earth a "Secretary" Bird is and why someone would name it that. Then I saw those long legs, that curvy body, and the done-up hair . . . and then I saw it attack with its high heels.

I've always wanted to see one of these up close. When I was a girl, I read an old National Geographic article about them from the 50's, I think--about their egg-breaking skills in East Africa. They use tools! They take rocks and throw them at ostrich eggs. Clever, leggy birds...the runway models of the bird world! And yes, they make you think of a dinosaur, with their crown of spiky black feathers and their almost unreal shapes. Cool, aren't they?
@SupremeMathemAddicts9 жыл бұрын
"when I was a girl" now you're a man? :O
@lynneperkins4949 жыл бұрын
No, now I'm a woman. And I was wrong about these--it was an article about egyptian vultures, not the secretary birds. But aren't these elegant? They look like ballet dancers.
@yooperkids10 жыл бұрын
It is actually called that because back when it was named, secretaries often stuck their quill pens in their hair until they wanted them, and the bird looks like that. But your idea is totally awesome too.

@Laserbeak3168 жыл бұрын
Blaziken relies more on its feet than it does its arms. Have you noticed that despite having arms and being part Fighting, Blaziken naturally learns more kick-based moves such as Double Kick, Blaze Kick, Hi Jump Kick? It's Pokedex entries even state how its even able to leap over a 30 story building, which means it has great lower body strength.

I'll go ahead and say it. I'd love to see (in the future) a Pokémon based on this bird. Maybe...Fighting/Ground-type (since it's a kicking animal and it's terrestrial; heck, use its kicking power to set off tremors). Seriously. We need more flightless birds that AREN'T Flying-type. (Decidueye doesn't count because its earlier stages were Flying-type)
