Every summer, the men and women of Maine's lobster industry turn the waters of Jonesport into a racing strip. They do so for very little money, a lot of pride, and the pure thrill of pushing a boat that's not made for speed to its limits.

It’s true! Lobstermen are some of the smartest people in the world. Jack of all trades and master of them all too!🤩 One of the smartest cardiologists I know is a lobsterman. It’s his Zen and a big part of his life.😊 #saltlife #downeasterlife

Taylor Holmes I think it's their culture because I live in southern maine where less people are real mainers but some of the hicks have that same posture and accent like they're trying to replicate it

The fastest boat on our 46foot fleet is a 40knoter whitch is much faster than the like 15 knots they get stock😂

Lol let me tell you something Christmas most have there traps up then the top dog went out different spot we was getting up to 5400 a day or 60,000 a month but no lobsters and no money the lobsters don't go in hiding they move to deeper water . 4 days a week so 16 days up to 60,000 pounds but no money lmao or where wasting time ha.
