WRITTEN SUMMARY:
Secretlab's all new Plushcell armrest accessory is compatible with chairs using their Cloudswap armrest technology. Currently this is only available on the Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 gaming chair. These new armrests offer a more luxurious feel with ultra-soft touch materials with thicker memory foam that your forearms will appreciate! The arm rests are build with using Secretlab's "tri-layered construction" and overall has a very similar feel to what's used in Secretlabs headrests.
While the Plushcell comes in 3 colours including black, silver and pink. In this video I reviewed the Silver colour which was a good match to the Cookies & cream colour of my chair. The only downside of the lighter colours is these softer arm rests aren't as stain-resistant so you'll need to be more careful to keep them clean. Overall, a surprisingly good product that I never knew I needed until I tried it.

These armrests i just received and they are silky smooth but rock solid just like the original armrests it comes with. There’s no memory foam sink like the headrest. The headrest forms to your head and the arm rests are rock solid. Should be much more plush for that price.

I recommend getting the black one for anyone who's thinking about these. Currently have the pink ones (because other colors were sold out) and it gets DIRTY even after washing my arms after work. Be warned

My 2020 Titan armrests are getting cracks on the inner side. one started almost a year ago and the second started like a month ago. too bad that the old ones werent so easily replaceable but secretlabs were so nice that they shipped me both new arms with the screw under the pad (dont know if its a pre evo or a 2021 model one) so i can replace them easier in the future.

I’ve been saving up for a secret lab chair for a while and I’m very happy that I waited because when I was originally gonna get it the 2022 model wasn’t even announced yet.But I’m probably gonna wait a little while longer because the taxes shot way up for it and I don’t feel like paying that 😂

It’s not worth it. I bought the Secretlab total evo 2022 with the Secretlab SoftWeave™ Plus Fabric and the chair is extremely stiff. The build quality is awesome but the chair barely breaks in with and comfort doesn’t really change. I play video games on my 4 days off for like 8-10 hours a day. It’s great for back support but the seat is just really stiff

Ever try putting the magnetic pillow in replace of the armrest? It doesn't stay in place perfectly strong, but it does well enough and gives a ton of cushioning. I'm torn between getting the Plushcell and just getting 2 more magnetic pillows. lol

Just got my Titan evo and I love it. I find the lumbar support is abit lacking though. I would love to hear your opinion on the lumbar pillow pro if you are gonna buy that accessory.

Hey Garry, I do have that pillow, which my partner uses a lot and likes it. I don't find it as useful for me as I have the lumbar support set to low on the Titan Evo. But really for what it is its quite comfortable, its made pretty much of the same materials as your head rest pillow so its very soft and squishy. You will sink into it, its also got some rubber grips to help it stay in place and its large enough to also use as extra padding to sit on if ever needed it. Hope that helps!

I just bought the Titan Evo 2022 and received it yesterday and love it but I seen these armrests and really am thinking about getting them.. Question though, are there any discount codes for us buyers of the chair to get these?

Hey I think they’re worth it I haven’t taken mine off since putting them on. I think discount codes are pretty rare but as you just bought a chair you might get a refer a friend discount code in your inbox soon. I get the feeling you won’t be able to use that yourself though and/or won’t work for armrests. Hope that helps. Cheers.

May I ask, what last longer: the neo-hybrid or the soft-weave material? What is your experience? I am not shure which I should buy for the seat.

Hey there, sorry for late reply. I believe Softweave will last longer depending on how you look after it, while the leatherette (PU leather) is a very high long lasting quality from secretlab, that material is known to for degrading after a certain amount of use/time. My softweave material still looks pretty much brand new a few years in. Hope that helps. Cheers

If it helps.. 2 years-ish later and these arms are still going strong and still look pretty much as they do here. Perhaps that might help your decision. Otherwise it’s a tough call!

As much as I'd like to buy the silver ones, I feel like I would make them dirty way too quickly, the thing is, it is obviously something that is touching your hands all the time, so if your hands are only slightly dirty, you'll see it. But they look so cushy!

Yeah I've been pretty shocked I haven't stained them properly yet, but so far they've held up well! Black would be the safer choice! Not sure if luck, or they're more stain resistant than I thought.

@@BenCad I am having the all Black Softwave chair. I was thinking of pairing it with the silver ones first, because it would match my Beyerdynamics headphones which both also use an all black color with grey/silver velour ear cushion pads. I always loved that design combo, as it empathizes the "cushiness" of those pads. However, usually I would argue I am touching the ear pads much less than my arm rests, and then of course the ear pads can be easily removed to clean or replaced, while the arm rests are a bit expensive. + I sometimes eat at my desk, imagine me accidentally spilling a tiny drop of spaghetti sauce onto my velour pads, I'd cry^^

Hey kheath580 - I had the same problem with stock so I doubt I will any time soon I’m afraid. I found the plushcell seemed more appealing to me as it had a different texture feel as well as a change in padding.

This should have been included with the chair instead of a separate add-on, especially since the armrest that came with the chair was not a matter of if, is when the armrest started to fall apart with its PU leather cover.

I reckon giving the customer the choice of whatever armrest they like would be a nice option when they buy one. Regarding the PU standard arm rests, Im fully aware PU leather has an expiry date... but I'm happy to say both of my Secretlab chairs armrests (one's almost 4 years old) are both still going strong!

the padding on my original sinks in now and stays that way with visible elbow "dips" Anyone know of a way to fix this?

As in the original black arm rests? Can't say I've had that happen on either my two Secretlab chairs but could always reach out to Secretlab and ask? If I was thinking of risky ideas... You could potentially play around with warming the arm rests with like hair drier or something and see if that softens the vinyl? But yeah that could go very wrong too and make it worst too! Risky!

Agreed! I have tried fitting the 2022 Titan Evo’s arm rest units to my 2020 Titan and it’s was a perfect fit, so whether it’s official or not there is a way to get them on the last gen Titan. I would be pretty surprised if Secretlab don’t provide a proper upgrade path for last-gen owners soon also.

@@BenCad Oh really? That's very interesting! I am a leaner, and I have essentially destroyed my old ones. The PU leather material is incredibly prone to breakage, and the inner cushioning material also gets quite flattened after a while. If you say the new 2022 gen works on the old 2020 Titan, I might give that a go when they're in stock, then!

@@BenCad Just checked the video, I noticed that you used the 2022 armrests for the 2019/2020 version. Would the plushy new ones fit as well? As I've seem other people say they're magnetic and so won't fit properly on the older version. They're not available in the UK yet anyway, but would be great to confirm!

I’m afraid I haven’t experienced the techno gel ones to compare. Although from the reviews I’ve seen on techo gel they may not age very well? Mine plushcells still look as you see here. Hope that helps for whatever it’s worth! Cheers

That’s the last thing I need to clarification on before pulling the trigger and buying plush weave fabric XL titan SL chair my first SL chair ever. Also going to upgrade to the premium casters, am wondering tho if the lumbar support in the chair is enough for a 315 lbs man like myself or if the support pillow would be necessary.

Does it wobble a lot? My titan chair armrests can wobble quite a lot if you grab it and try moving it left/right.

Umm i think i get you, on mine there is a bit of wriggle room or movement i guess if you kinda try twisting/pivot them left and right. I also have an older 2020 Titan in the house and both arm rest act pretty much the same. Is that what you have? This would be from the arm rest unit and not the cloud swap top. Cheers.

Hey mate - this is a yes and no answer! But the Yes requires more effort and money I'm afraid. The Short answer is technically No - these will not fit the 2020 series as they do not have the Cloud Swap feature. The Longer Yes answer is technically (and unofficially) you can fit the 2022 Titan Evo Arm rests to your 2020 chair. So you would need to purchase the 2022 Titan Evo arm rests as spare fits, to then be able to fit these. In another video of mine I show this around the 7 minute mark kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ibWAideYz8iWZIE.html which I tested on my 2020 and 2022 Secretlab Chairs. PS - sorry to hear your arm rests are cracking perhaps try a regular warranty claim? Mine are still going strong on my 2020! Hope that helps, cheers.

they are dfinitely more comfortable but.. not enough to justify the price imo. and frankly calling them memory foam is just false advertising. Its a softer foam, its not memory foam
