when i was little, maybe 6 or so, I remember hearing a violin for the first time. and i thought it was the most beautiful sound. i set out to learn the violin. except my mom couldn't afford a violin or lessons to learn how to play one. i learned, accidentally, how to whistle instead. Eventually I could whistle beautiful classical music that I heard on tv. A pretty sick trade-off really. Just took me a while to realize it.

One of my closest friend has just died of an accidental collision on the buggati track on his supersport bike three days ago...36 years old is way too young to go...he was genuinely nice to anyone, always smiling, I've never seen him angry even one time in my life or complain about something. He was just the kind of guy with a Golden heart, humble, respectful and always willing to help. I'm heartbroken right now but this song helps me remind me how lucky i was to meet a real hero and a real human being like him. Clem, I'll be missing you my man, but hopefully we'll meet and ride together again in paradise. Rest in peace 🙏🏼❤️

For years I associated this with the film Drive, dark and beautiful at times, but ultimately tragic. Years later I learned it was a tribute to Sully. Now whenever I listen to it I remember the miracle on the Hudson, and how truly amazing it was that all 155 people lived. God works in mysterious ways and it's almost impossible to deny he was in that cockpit with our 2 heroes.

It's actually a bit of both, apparently the song started out as a tribute to dark heroes like max (mad max). However, the grandfather of one of the band members knew Sullenberger and said that he was "a real hero and a real human being", they thought the phrase fitted perfectly for the song so they decided to merge the two concepts. You can see it in the lyrics, the first verse mostly fits for Sullenberger but isn't anywhere near specific to him and, I'd argue, fits mad max far better. By contrast the second verse couldn't be talking about anyone else.

I think it's because being a fan of Electronic Music I love seeing the instruments they use. Like the synths & electronic drum machine. Also The lighting is cool. Everyone on board was successfully evacuated. Sullenburger and his crew were highly praised for their heroism. Listening to the tenor of the song, it talks about a man who, in the face of tragedy and dystopia is able to rise above all odds and be a hero.

I always thought it was about a nameless driver who falls in love with his neighbour but is conflicted because he doesn't want her to see his dark side and when she does eventually see this side he attempts to redeem himself and save the woman but loses her love in return.
