Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya is an adults only all-inclusive resort with direct access to Akumal Beach known for its white sand and sea turtles. The resort is 62 miles south of Cancun between Playa del Carmen and Tulum.
We stayed in an “Preferred Club Junior Suite with Tropical view.” Our video is a tour of our suite and the hotel grounds.

Had a fantastic 5 night vacation here. A couple things I would do differently next time- While the prefered club is great for checking in, we found the rest of time it wasn't worth the extra money. The preferred club lunge was away from everything else, it was easier just to go to the pool bars. Also the ala carte breakfast had a limited selection compared to the buffet breakfast. We also had the private transportation, which we will probably skip. Our first vacation at an all inclusive resort so I have nothing to compare it to. However, the food and drinks were excellant. Food was gourmet quality. The entire staff was great- friendly and helpful.

Toured this hotel the other day & it was beautiful. From the entrance to everyrhing else. This hotel was beautiful & relaxing. Also, not only were the rooms impressive, but the food options were amazing. It's definitely better than what our hotel offered us 😅. The pool was a neat concept ❤️ Definitely going to be one of my TOP 5 list

Awesome video. Thank you for sharing. We were supposed to go in Feb. but we got sick and are now going March 11th for 10 days. The only room we could book was preferred club, which we really didn't want but we will make the most of it.

Do Preferred guests have option for Al La Carte Breakfast? When my wife and I stayed at Maroma we had Al La Carte Breakfast at Preferred Beach Club. Thanks

You can get a la carte at the restaurant for breakfast.

Which restaurant and is it for Preferred Guests or everyone? That was one aspect we loved about Maroma was that we had breakfast and lunch at Preferred Beach Club everyday for our 10 day anniversary visit.@@BevandRyan

whats the food like at Secrets these days? Ive stayed at Maroma and st James years ago. The resorts and accomodations are top teir but the food was bottom tier. Has the food improved?

We arrived at Cancun airport and just used one of the shuttle services on Viator.

Btw, grouper is all over the place there, it's their cheap staple fish. I wish they had more vegan options, otherwise the food is great minus their ridiculous dress code for men during dinner.
