In an exhibition at Maitland Regional Art Gallery (mrag) Wendy Sharpe, well known Australian artist had bodies of work showing aspects of her artmaking practice.
Sharpe spent 3 days at the gallery during install week overseeing the installation of her work but mainly doing some large scale wall paintings.
I was asked to provide video coverage that included timelapse of the wall paintings and an interview with Sharpe.
The pace was frenetic with Sharpe, and her volunteer assistants, working from 9am-6pm each of the 3 days...much of the time spent up on a scissor lift to access the higher wall areas.
Sharpe still found time to address the questions of the audience there to see this professional artist working in the gallery space.
