Good morning and happy Sunday!!!! I'm back today with a super fun (and a little long - but worth it, I promise) video of our vacation to Mexico! We stayed at the Secrets Maroma Beach Resort and it was absolutely fabulous. I can't wait for you guys to come along and experience all the fun we had during our time at this resort, as well as an amazing excursion offsite. Hi, this was by far the best video I’ve watched on Cancun this resort. We stayed here last August we loved it so much we’re going back this August this time for a longer stay. We really had the best time. From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and very well taken care of. I can't say enough amazing things about this resort. Mark had an amazing time and now I've been sending him some not so subtle hints on where I would like to go for my birthday in October, lol!!!!

Oh my goodness - when I get to Mexico black beans are the other thing I want to eat. They are just so good and no matter where you go here in the states, they never taste like that!!!! So so good!!!! And thank you for the compliment - I really loved everything I wore. I spent a lot of time researching items that I loved, were comfortable, and that I would feel confident in. I can't wait to wear them all again!

Hi love! I've missed you and hope you are doing well. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the video....and my outfits. I've said this a few times but I think I need to make a "this is what I wore to Mexico" short video. I wish I would have filmed a head to toe look each night - but I just didn't think of it. Now I'm regretting it - but we have a lot more summer to go! I received a lot of compliments on the hat and I'm thinking H&M should give me a huge discount because I'm sure they received MANY orders for that hat just from the people at the beach and the pool asking me about it, lol!!!

I wanted things that were easy and breezy - and every evening I would be excited to put on something new. So happy that you loved everything. You and Dad have to go to this resort. I agree about the Mexican breakfast buffets. I love them. Seeing this video makes me want to go back to Mexico but to an adult resort with a butler!! Oh and that bathing suit with the big flower 😍😍😍

WOW, what a beautiful and amazing resort. That’s a place I could truly enjoy even if I didn’t get the upgrade package.

We debated the value of the upgrade package. For example, there is a Preferred Bar, where they have higher-grade liquors. We went in to that bar upon our arrival, but we never went back. We could have, perhaps should have, but there were so many other things to do and places to go. I think you could do just fine without the Preferred, but I have to say it was awfully nice having our own beach area and having people who find us lounge chairs and having a separate restaurant for when you don't want to sit and eat with the 'common folks' lol. I think we decided that you should check on the pricing of the Preferred package and if you can swing it financially, just do it. It's a treat.

Completely agree with what Mark said. It was a special treat for sure, and we really loved the added attention and little treats - but honestly, if you didn't purchase the upgrade, you would have just as good of a time as we did! You guys HAVE to go!

There were several walking around the resort - but they could have cared less about any of the people there. They were just out living their lives, hoping that a french fry would fall on the ground from time to time. If one would have approached me, trust and believe you guys would have gotten a full show of me completely losing my mind, lol!!!!

When you go to the restaurants do you pay for those meals or is it apart of the all inclusive? And if it’s part of the all inclusive are you limited to how much you can order? I’m going in September for my honeymoon and I’ve never been out of the country so I don’t know what to expect!

Hi Jessica! I had another quick question for you if you don’t mind answering. Did you feel that the perks for the preferred club are worth it there? It’s about $1000 difference and I know some resorts don’t have as many perks for it

I say this in the video and truly mean it - without the preferred you will have a wonderful time and treated no differently. The staff is A1 and so kind and helpful. But if you want to feel even more special and have access to the private beach club, the beach, a butler, and top shelf beverages, then it’s definitely worth the splurge!

This is a tough question and I am conflicted. It really was nice to have, but we did not take advantage of all that we could have. For example, the Preferred breakfast area had good food and great service and was a real treat but you were selecting from a menu. This was not terribly difficult as they had good options, but I admit the very large buffet where the 'regular people' eat was attractive in that you got to see a large variety of food options that you might not get to sample if you had ordered from the menu. It really was nice to have a room closest to the beach and pool, and you really do feel special having the Preferred upgrade. You'd still have a great time without the Preferred. If you really measured the cost vs. what you get, the Preferred is probably not super cost-effective, but it's a treat.
