Regarding that hidden slot, it is actually used on some models. The Traveller, for instance, has an electronic clock in one scale and no tools. On the other side, all three slots are used: to hold the pen and toothpick on one end and the tweezers from the small knives in the normally hidden slot on the other end.

I started carrying a Swiss army knife when I was about 20, and I am almost 65 now. I never knew about the pinhole behind the screwdriver, and sure enough I look in mine and there is a pin hole! I am totally shocked! I have a number of Swiss army knives that scales have been broken off or lost pieces and I know I can get parts now over the internet and haven't gotten around to replacing them. I am definitely going to be ordering some parts now. Thanks for making this video I really enjoyed it! And best of all I've learned something new that I can share with people!

You think that if they cuff you, they won’t go through your pockets? Gauge a groove out of the inner side of your leather belt at the back , which should be self explanatory. When cuffed up they always run their fingertips on the inner side of the waste band of your pants but never the belt. Don’t forget the tweezers can be pent to open the handcuffs or padlocks also.

I worked security in a hotel and someone left behind a swiss army knife that has the pin, the pen, (instead of tweezers) a genius pocket clip that attches to the keyring, and an item you can see in this video, that little gray object inside the corkscrew, a tiny screwdriver. All features that I had never seen in the many SAKs i have seen and owned. Cool that people add to what is already a useful tool. Now I have to check if mine has that hidden channel for an extra tool!

The thing is they can't do plus scales on every model. The tweezers and the toothpick are placed in by a machine but the pen has to be placed manually by hand. Is it possible to buy the pen scales and pen retractor assembly for 58mm knives, to add to a different 58mm knife? It would be cool to add the pen to a Jetsetter, for example (trading either the toothpick or the tweezers), to make a customized TSA-friendly tool.

@@wimvanlent551 Wow that's awesome, I'm really tempted! I suppose if you swap the scales between a Manager and a Jetsetter, then the Manager becomes a Rambler? Someone makes titanium scales that will fit the 58mm pen, and also have the retractor? It would be really nice if it's possible to buy the fully equipped 58mm pen scale on its own, because I know it's possible to damage the scales during removal even with the hot water trick, and it would be a shame to spend $42 on a Manager and break the scale, or damage it to the point where it doesn't stick in place.
