Great gold! Always wondered if a small leaf blower could power the keen 151 instead of the $700 lawnmower engine 😆
@HDTH3 жыл бұрын
For sure and it works great! I can only imagine a bigger blower. We also tried a battery leaf blower works great and a lot quieter. Just need a lot of batteries or a generator far away from you.

is it true that dry washers can only be up to 80% capture rate because of air losses compared with water .. (water having a density where air doesnt really) ...
@HDTH Жыл бұрын
that is true but you can make adjustments to improve capture rate such as run dirt a second time, flattening your angle and turn air down to capture more fine gold. If the dirt is damp out out on a tarp in the sun to dry more before you run it. Things like that. If I had the choice to use water I would high bank but here in New Mexico most washes are dry

Nice! Just bought a new drywasher from Keene and went out to use it and no oil in the case. Luckily I checked it. Used my buddy's machine instead. Would like to try it out now that I added oil. Lol. What part of Arizona were you working? Was it a club claim? Joe gold

Nice! What model of Keene did you get? We go all over... we follow the gold, haha. We have claims, go out with friends to their claims and part of the local clubs. It is amazing where you find the shinny.

@highdeserttreasurehunters what size is the pan you’re using to pan your cons?
@HDTH22 күн бұрын
Hello @mattytube18, most of the time we use a 14-16” and push material quickly. Sometime the small one 8” for the fines and go a little slower. Do you have a preference on pan size?
@Mattytube1821 күн бұрын
@@HDTH I do. I like a 14”. I find the 16 and 17 too cumbersome. I was curious as to the size you’re using in this particular video. Doesn’t look like a 14?
@HDTH21 күн бұрын
@@Mattytube18 lately we been using 14” proline pan. Most of the time is the standard pan. Yes, the big pans sometimes work you more than you the pan.
@Mattytube1821 күн бұрын
@@HDTH one ask the question one last time. What size of pan were you using in this video.

Where did you get that green pan? What size is it?
@HDTH19 күн бұрын
14” but I would recommend getting 14” proline pan. The green one was when I purchased a membership to gpaa.

@@HDTH Thank you! Question… I found a pocket on bedrock near my house near an old old river in Azusa canyons. Is it ok to collect all those quartz rocks and can I extract gold from them. I found a few with a lot of gold flakes in them but idk if collecting them is worth it. How can I get the gold from them?
@HDTH19 күн бұрын
@alex_jermaine the easiest and safest method is crush the quartz and pan it. If you are finding it that easy on the surface you might want to check out the bed rock and crevice and pan.
@HDTH19 күн бұрын
@@alex_jermaine safest and easiest is crush quartz and pan it. Might want to see what’s on the bedrock too.
@alex_jermaine19 күн бұрын
@@HDTH I know it may sound silly but do you think it’s possible to crush the quartz with a heavy hammer in a controlled area where the particles aren’t lost? I know it sounds like a lot of extra labor but that is possible right?
