indeed these tutorials are good but it is just the surface only... you should check out their Premium Courses... there are so many things which we would never know if not explained by the mentor... so comprehensive and worth it...

Helpful info! I like how your Premium Courses go into much more detail, without being hard to understand. You explain it all so well and provide great examples. I watch TONS of photography videos, and I still believe that your courses are BY FAR the best deal out there. I've learned stuff from you that I've never heard anyone else discuss. Those extra tips are what can push someone above the competition. And, nowadays, there's lots of that. Your entire team does an awesome job of presenting your tutorials. Thanks!

thanks for sharing and the good looking results 👍🏆✨ I like "Butterfly Lighting" and this lighting was and is the main light when shooting portraits like the awesome looking vintage "Hollywood Lighting" style which we all know from the black&white Hollywood star portraits from the good old days of the movie industry, but therefore hard light was common and the main light often had a fresnel lense to modify and direct the light ... to get nearly this look I`m using a 40cm metal beauty dish with a grid for my main speedlite or I`m using a speedlite without any modifier and set its zoom to a higher focal length so the main light only hits the model`s face

When you turn down the power of the flash, you say shadows soften. Why? The light hitting the sensor does not change, since you change the aperture accordingly.

Question - to fill in the shadow under her nose, couldn’t you just use a reflector ?

Of course. But that shadow is the hallmark of Butterfly Lighting. So if we get rid of it, it'll no longer be "proper" butterfly Lighting I guess??

Can we use a beauty dish for butterfly lighting and can we spin the softbox like a diamond shape instead of square, I mean like 45 degrees, does it soften the shadow below the nose instead of changing the f number? hehehe.. sifoo.......
