This is a very special video I have been Graciously able to film. I love Bala’s Museum and Linda and Jack. They are wonderful people who own this lovely Anne inspired museum up near Bracebridge Ontario. I’ve been going to this museum for years now and have formed a close friendship with Jack and Linda. This past August I asked Linda if I could film her museum since it has meant a great deal to me. She agreed and together we made this lovely documentary about the museum and how Lucy Maud Montgomery found inspiration within this lovely town called Bala. Also, remember any music I have used in this video is for entertainment purposes only. Please do not demonize me, this is a very special video for me to be able to publish.

That was so lovely. Anne of Green Gables in Polish is Ania z Zielonego Wzgorza which literally means Anne of Green Hill. I've loved this book since I was probably 9 and we do study it in Poland when you are 11 or 12. I'm so glad we were among the first countries to translate it. We do love the book and the movies. Naturally when I finished AoGG I went on to read all the other books by LMM. I had them all from the library or libraries. I've never owned a copy till I moved to Scotland in my 20s and I bought Anne of Green Gables in English. It was a different experience reading it in English, but just as enjoyable if not more. This is such a special special book and was so quite mad about it as a child. Before I was married I was Anna S. and I was imagining I was her. My room even had an old apple tree in front of my window. I didn't have red hair but I didn't really mind that detail. One of my younger sisters looked just like Diana though and during summer holidays we would react the scenes from the movie. My younger sisters were still too young to read the novel but we all watched the movie, the Sullivan's version.

That’s so cool! I’ve been a huge anne fan since I was around 8 when Linda introduced me to the stories though this museum. I love hearing how different people have learned and fell in love with anne. I’m so happy you enjoyed the video!! Honestly it is kinda fun sharing the same name as a fictional character you adore.

Absolutely! I have such a love for Anne of Green Gables and this museum. When I had the opportunity, I simply had to take it. I’m thankful Linda allowed me to film her gorgeous museum.

@@theannechann642 I live in the Maritimes and have visited Green Gables and Lucy Maud’s birthplace. Knowing that she spent the last half of her life in Ontario, I’ve wondered for years if there were any museums about her there. I’m so glad there is at least one!

I'm discovering the story of Anne of green gables (really not famous in France) with the wonderful series of Nippon Animation. It's a pleasure, what a lovely story and place! So, I'm happy to discovering this museum, thanks for sharing!

@@theannechann642 Yes, what a nice place, full of treasures! And she looks like a very interesting person, very passionated! So, I hope more people in France will rediscover Montgomery's stories, it's really good. And the cartoon version made by Nippon Animation was really impressive (like all their adaptations like Tom Sawyer, Flo & the Robinsons...). There are old but quality cartoons I appreciate! ( I'm cartoon teacher here).

@@koartiste4756 that is so cool! I love Anne of Green Gables and the museum does have a huge treasure trove of items, especially in the gift shop. Linda often shops online to find treasures for the place. My favourite version of Anne has to be from Sullivan Entertainment with Megan Follows. It’s a Canadian version of the story and many people consider it a classic.

Thank you for such kind words! Linda is a very talented woman and she has gathered a lot of information over the years about Anne of Green Gables and Lucy Maud Montgomery. I am very blessed she let me film in her museum in this way. I will always cherish this memory.

I’m so glad you really enjoyed the video! I had a lovely time filming it with Linda. She has lots of information about the museum and Lucy Maud Montgomery, even beyond what was said in the video. She’s got lots of neat stories to tell and I’m just glad I was able to get a small bit of it all to share.

@@agadventures2383 Yes I have been there. It’s been a few years now, but in my own opinion, Linda’s museum is much better than the ones in P.E.I. Only for the fact that Linda has more information about Maud and the history surrounding the place. The places in P.E.I are nice, but your mostly on your own tour the places and there isn’t much else but a gift shop afterwards. I know people may argue my statements, but it’s just my opinion. Linda has many surprises when you tour her museum which make it very fun for people of all ages.

Yesterday I've found the book of Lucy Montgomery in french, I'm so happy!!!! By the way I can see the cartoon version of Nippon Animation was very close of the book, more than their version of the swiss Robinson they need to adapt more (with luck, the book is not so good^^). So, this is a pleasure to read it. So I read with cartoon and this video of Linda's museum images in my head 😃

My new painting is inspired by a famous place of Anne of green gables, reading the book inspired me... so this place is in the forest near of my home in France, but I had this picture of last spring with many purple flowers... I thought to this by reading the moment when Anne talks about the valley of violettes ^^... So I need to thank Lucy Maud for this idea! ^^ kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m7d7apqYmayZo3U.html
