This video is a recording from our master class, What is Tai Chi Internal Power and How Do You Develop It?
You may know that Tai Chi is famous for its ability to cultivate a soft and internal power. And whether it's scientific, or mysticism, there must be some explanation for it right?
And you'd be right to suspect that there are some simple explanations, beneath people's attempt to mystify the concepts, beyond the esoteric terminology, that can guide your understanding and growth. And there is, and it involves how we relax, how we transfer momentum, how our fascia organizes our body movement, and how our conscious awareness interacts with our body, our experience, and other bodies.
This video will present an overview that demystify each concept of Jin, Yi, Qi, and Shen in Yang family Tai Chi. Other styles such as Chen Tai Chi, Xingyi, will have different understanding and models of these classical concepts. In future videos and courses we will discuss how to develop each one in greater detail!

This is the best explanation of tai chi for Western minds I've seen. Especially the explanation of the fascia which is often left out.

Thank you! For Western minds is exactly what I was going for. In China, all the different philosophies of Taoism, Qigong, acupuncture, herbalism, are all mashed together. They all talk about Qi but even what an herbalist calls Qi and what an acupuncture calls Qi can be different. So what are we really talking about? Same for Yi and other terms. I wanted to clarify this and I'm glad you find it helpful!

I agree the explanation of fascia I still haven't found anywhere. I guess that is another piece of the puzzle but I am yet to understand the actual puzzle which once I understand if it is true and it all connects I'll probably be able to train to get to some higher level like these Masters are but until then and it's been already 20 years I'll still be waiting because even though some are offering the knowledge for money I cannot pay for something I don't know exists or that doesn't make sense or that I don't understand to some point after which I would want to expand my knowledge by paying somebody. There is no core knowledge no matter how much I learned about this the only thing I can learn is the theory and the way to tell it to someone else without them also understanding it. I still believe the key ingredient information is either missing or I'm just stupid I don't know.. it might be that too come on let's be real. If so then I welcome any constructive critic because usually after that I take it into account try to apply it into my life and then become less stupid which would be of help.

@@danilosljiva hi. Do you have an open minded training partner. If yes then I suggest you explore and research together. As for facia...the skin moves....have someone loosely grip your arm. Then move the arm back and forth within his grip and feel how much play your arm has before it is stopped. Turn the arm over too. This is your facia. Now as your partner attempts a grip slightly move the arm has his grip increases but before it is fully on. You should find after a little practice you can then control your partner after this. That's you manipulating your facia. You can now try moving the partner facia on the arm and different parts of the body and study the effects.

What a gift you have for explaining things! I've read or watched a great deal of material on Taiji and you are able to take slippery concepts from one culture/language/time and translate it into something we can easily understand here, today. Thank you for the work you do.

My summary of the main components: 1. Physical: exerting/Taking force while staying relaxed (like swinging a bowling ball or sloshing water) 2. Intention: - keeping incoming force at the surface (rather than letting it penetrate into oneself) & - directing attack force around/through the opponent's strong points to reach their weak points 3. Energy: - Influencing the opponent's "vibe" to weaken them

A+ summary! For intention, alongside the strong and weak points, the awareness of the surface fascia and its tension, in of itself disrupts the opponent's ability to organize their body to be strong. The way my teacher describes the ward off is kind of similar to what your student said about iron Man suit. He said it's like holding a shield, and you can feel your opponents spear through the shield and control the spear by turning your body and shield together to deflect. Now you control your opponents weapon and center of mass and you have a clear line to strike him while he's off balance

Very good point! It captures the essential idea of controlling the spear (their intention and jin force) rather than battling their muscular force, while using your shield (your intention) to keep them from reaching past your shield and armor to your muscles and bones. Because while our flesh is vulnerable, we can be much more comfortable and confident when our shield and armor captures all of their intent and all of their attacks!

Your explanations are the best I've ever heard! In this video Master Chester you provide greater insight and it has given rise to another question. When learning to feel for the opponent's fascia to sense the connections throughout their structure, what exactly should I be aiming for? What goal do I aim for? I know what heat on my skin feels like, pain from being punctured, pressure and even what an electric shock feels like. But what does it feel like to connect to the opponent's structure? How will I recognize that I've succeeded? It seems mystical.

Nice to meet you Brian! The fascia awareness can look mystical on video you would be pleasantly surprised at how physical and scientific it can be. Try this: firmly rub a little bit of skin and beyond the skin on your arm, like it's sore or itchy. At first, with a small motion you just feel the skin slide around. When you keep going towards your wrist you will begin to feel the stretch of your skin. And where does that stretching feeling extend to? What does it pull at? You might first notice it pull at the big muscles towards the elbow. Keep pulling and noticing and you can begin to notice the pull at the elbow. There won't be much movement past the elbow but you can feel the pull go beyond that, all the way to the shoulder. If you're standing, keep following that down the back and hips and legs all the way to a foot and ground. That far down it's less of a literal pull and more of an awareness of where the pull can go. If you can get a sense of that, you have mapped the fascia. Now apply a little force to where the forearm where you are rubbing stretching it and get a sense of how you can begin to imbalance or move the whole body. This would be a general form of connecting to and affecting the fascia! Give that a shot on yourself, and then perhaps on a practice partner who is standing rigidly for you, and let me know what happens! This month I will be publishing an online course on how to do this, fascia control, with solo and partner drills building up the skill, coordination, and awareness for use in Tai Chi. Next month I'll aim to publish a second part, using it in combat throws and joint locks. I'll announce them on the channel when they are up! It's a really learnable and useful aspect of Tai Chi that can help ones internal practice as well as their external, combative martial arts. Thank you! Sensing the force and balance through fascia is something you can become very good at so that you can do it in a short time. Because it is a part of being human, being a primate. Consider what you are really doing, which is, you are sensing the overall balance and forces through another object. And what's something primates are very good at? Swinging on trees, which is also feeling balance and forces through another object, is it not? And humans can learn to sense forces through things like baseball bats, tennis racquets, and do so at the moment of contact. Sensing and controlling the balance is like feeling balance and momentum when you skate, skateboard, or ski. And when you get good at skating or skiing, your weight and muscle power doesn't matter that much, does it? Overall I'd say the time it takes to get good at fascia control so that you can control a strong person's forces, and do it in very fast, is about as long as it might take you to get decent at skiing, skating or skateboarding. I don't mean doing amazing jump flip tricks, but basic comfortable intuitive at going around, changing directions, speeding up slowing down effortlessly. And that doesn't have to take that long, does it not? But just like learning those activities, there are helpful exercises and strategies. And mentalities. It's more a body feel then a mental thought. That's why primates can swing from trees. In an upcoming video I'll describe this body sense. And in the fascia mastery course you'll learn solo and partner exercises to help you get good at this in a pragmatic amount of time!

Most of the time you only see teachers "throwing away" their pupils. Here you also see it the other way around! Besides the very clear explanation of power transfer, it makes it also much more easy to "believe" to be true. In addition, I wonder why the West has not developed and encouraged this facia knowledge at all! However, experiencing this exercise based on the shown training is "believing" of course!

Implying to have the previous skills (relaxation / release of excessive tension, good structure / posture, therefore knowing how to use the elastic force by transferring the weight and doing it quickly with fajin), using qi is having awareness of energies such as yi, the intention, is having awareness of the use of the band. For example, using Chen style terminology, knowing how to apply chanssujin is awareness of the fascia and using qi is applying techniques, such as imbalances and projections,chin na and immobilizations, but having awareness of the energies that compose it (8 energies and the 5 directions)and knowing how to direct them with awareness? Anyway, thank you very much Sifu for your always informative and interesting videos.

Excellent comment! Yes you're totally right about the foundation of relaxation, release of excess tension, proper structure and posture. That can be all considered proper Li. Beyond that, knowing how to use the elastic nature of the body's fascia and transferring momentum through it is the key to Fajin. Chen Taichi chanssu silk reeling is indeed a sophisticated use of fascia both in yourself and in others. And yes, using Qi is to direct the proper direction and quality of energy, using your awareness, amplified by the path of the fascia where meridians reside, in alignment with the purpose of your technique. You have written a great summary and that's a great sign for your capacity to keep growing your internal skill and understanding! 🙌

I started being interested in meditation since I was 8 years old. I found out about tai chi around 9 years old now I am 32 years old and you can imagine the interest I have in this technique which is by war is not so difficult, it only today I'm getting more and more material and returning the hope to find some answers since no matter what I try I even know many moves from taiushi physically I can replicate them but so far no success whatsoever at all no matter how hard I tried whether without partner I just don't have enough knowledge or understanding. I've watched or listened to videos of lama don't drop Dorje so many times did I know them by heart, also read so many books so many times and no matter how hard or soft I tried it doesn't work for me. There has to be something else that you're hiding... I mean all of you Masters who are showing tai chi techniques which really look like wonders, are actually talking a lot but are not actually revealing whatever's most important to even start feeling that energy to search an extent level so professionally in that 99.9% of earthlings think it's all fake and they shouldn't spend any time on this yet I have spent over 15 years practicing and have not get any results because I'm just poor I have no choice I can't pay a lot of money for something I'm not even sure it is 100% real and only over the time of these 20 years I just couldn't believe it isn't real because I'm just crazy like that and it ends up probably being real still cannot replicated no matter how hard I try because nothing of knowledge is there any way I can get enough knowledge without paying money because I don't have money unfortunately. I would really like to learn this before my body gets too old to even try. I believe my mission in this earth is learning Tai chi as one of very key elements. But in every video most important parts are either left out or just not explained so that the regular human can understand, so anybody can learn this. Sure ask for money I don't care I'll just make it no matter what I have to learn this. And I tried many ways it never ever even began to work anyway. That's why from one side I know this is real a higher power is telling me, but as a physical human realistic being I cannot believe this and I understand people who say this is bullshido. I'm not trying to learn this for fighting it's just my mission in this world it is 100% if this thing is real I have to learn it that's it not to fight I don't like fighting at all and I like the idea of lama don'drop Dorje that rivalry shouldn't even exist, that we are all created for the purposes of true compassion with one another and there shouldn't be any rivalry or wars of course. I don't even know what's the purpose of my comment I watched the whole video I did not get any better than I was when I was 9.

Hello! I completely sympathize with you and agree with your experience! In most teachings of Tai Chi there is so much that is misunderstood, kept secret, or insufficiently challenged by resistance, that most people have little chance of learning Tai Chi correctly and to be able to use this skill as intended. Other times, teaching is correct but the manner of explanation and practice does not lead to a growth in skill, which is what you are experiencing to some extent. I made this video to explain the principles of how Tai Chi functions, like an introduction section in a textbook. We discuss and will continue to discuss how to practice and develop skill in other videos. To a certain extent, this video is to show the big picture, so you know what the little exercises are for and why they work. I agree with you about the difficulty in finding and learning real Tai Chi, and like you, I totally love Tai Chi. And unfortunately the bullshido reputation of Tai Chi is very deserved given the typical level and outcome of Tai Chi use. And that is why I'm revealing everything behind how Tai Chi works. Because when it's no longer masked by secrecy, and when everyone can learn REAL Tai Chi, then the skill is no longer a secret trick, it goes beyond a surprise to a technology, a science that fellow martial scientists and martial artists can experiment with, test with, and improve upon so that Tai Chi can become better and better and maybe in 30 years, it will be so much more fantastic than now, and so many people will successfully practice and enjoy it. Wouldn't that be wonderful? And I hope you can be on that journey and succeed to. So go ahead and ask your questions, and you can begin to clear the uncertainties, overcome your doubts. Because you've always known there's something there for you, and you are completely devoted to getting there, and it is people like you who I really wish to see succeed in Tai Chi in the way that I know that they can, because I've been through that journey, carried that desire, and through the journey, I know now that it's possible, for you, in a pleasant and reasonable amount of time. 🙏

22:09 That's fascinating - it kind of implies that floating and sinking are two prerequisite internal skills that need to be place before we even start with the Tai Chi, and before we start shaping the energy with open/close and empty/full. As if the class instructor is saying "Before we start our form can everyone quickly show me how they float and sink? Just need to check you're all in the right class..." (It's at that point everyone would discover I was in the wrong class! 😬)

Haha about being in the wrong class! You're right about the importance of float and sink (or light and heavy), open and close, empty and full. These are all important qualities and dualities in Tai Chi. I do aim to give all my students a sense of float and sink, expand and shrink, gather and disperse, before we practice the forms. They are our student's earliest practices, right after practicing song relaxation. But it's okay to do things out of sequence if that is what is interesting and engaging, and then fill in the gaps as you go. Learning is not always linear, especially when it comes to our mental and spiritual growth!

Thank you! Did you study Cheng style Bagua? Or Chen style Tai Chi? Both are wonderful styles. I hope you find someone to practice your skills with! @@phoenixmountaintaichi Hi, I am practicing Cheng man ching style with a long time practioner/instructor. We practice once a month on senior training and weekly in a local class. A good friend of mine is high level Sun style but unfortunately I don’t get much chance to train with him as he’s not local. I am a long time meditator and martial artist so it helps with tai chi.

Being a meditator is tremendously helpful, because the further you go, the more you notice that your mentality, and your mastery of your mentality, is the most important thing to bring it all together. Great explanation! Helped me to clarify the objectives of training and probably a video I will come back to regularly for inspiration and motivation. The only thing is that this is not a video I would be showing to non-tai chi or internal art folks due to the use of traditional terminology; not going to have to try to explain that this is not magic or mysticism for the Nth time.

@@phoenixmountaintaichi something to help bridge the conventional view of Tai chi with the martial art that we love? Personally I’m most tired of people who claim it was created only to be a form of exercise/moving meditation without martial relevance. That is just my own immediate opinion, I think anything that helps to demystify the art and bring more understanding of what we are actually learning would be great.

When being attacked, where do we place our intention? If I understand correctly we need to stay relaxed so we are able to see their intention and observe where they're fixated on to then anticipate and divert their force/momentum. In the meantime though, where are we placing our intention? On safeguarding our core? "Armouring" up? Hope I got the concepts right. Please correct if I'm on the wrong track. Great vid, btw. Yes you have the right ideas! When attacked, you can place your intention anywhere, as long as you are mentally free and can place it anywhere. Staying physically relaxed allows your body to move freely, and your energy to flow. Staying mentally free allows you to direct your intent and awareness. Direct your awareness outwards, that is the "armor" that safeguards your core. This is the outward force of Peng and the surface intention of Kao. Once you do that you'll be mentally and physically comfortable, making it easier to observe their intent and affect it more finely. One of the subtle keys is that quieting your mind allows the mind to be perceptive, calm and free. Hence meditation, whether standing, sitting, guided, or Tai Chi moving, is crucial for success! @@phoenixmountaintaichi Thank you so much for this detailed reply. I will practise this. I learnt wing chun and Yang and Chen Tai Chi before. I was exposed to what you're teaching now about using our intention to affect the opponent's energy in a short training class in wing chun. I'm doing Judo now and I tried to do this but I'm not sure how to do it right. It takes a lot of calm focus of the mind and I need to learn to relax more as well. Your video came at the right time!!! Another very good video. Can you tell where do you sink? Is it in the other persons body or do you extend your energy and sink behind the otherones body?

Really good question! In your own and in the other person's body, along their fascia. Once you have a sense of connection, experience the sinking quality and they will sink with you. You yourself don't physically sink but you experience the feeling of sinking. Like, you feel like something is sad but you don't let it show, or you are feeling drunk but you still stand straight. You are Aware of sinking but you don't Do the sinking. Does that help you understand?

Yes, Usually I try to expand and sink through the other person about two feet behind him, which makes it easier to break. But I now understand that that is not necessary.@@phoenixmountaintaichi

As you become skilled in that way it will naturally become more intuitive and minimal, just like how driving requires less and less thinking & planning over time. 😃

Thank you, this is the insight I have been looking for, for many years already without success (except for today 😃)! I am a fencing teacher (saber) trying to incorporate Tai Chi principles into our art. Since we as fencers cannot touch each others fascia, do you still see possibilities for floating, sinking or perhaps more applicable (from your explanation @15:15) to have our partners mind latch on to our outward directed awareness so that they follow ? Thank you so much for your kind words and generosity! I have great news for you, it is actually possible to transmit these floating and sinking qualities across a sword. I greatly love Tai Chis fencing and fencing is actually a crucial and valuable way to develop some of the advanced and subtler qualities. This info is useful for all levels of training. Actually nobody teaches like this in China, these would be considered secrets only taught once students prove themselves for several years or decades. At that point students already discover this stuff on their own, so that's a very drawn out process and defeats the purpose of taking a class and having a teacher. But this guy just says it all at once and for free.

You're totally right. I love Tai Chi and the internal arts, and I'm seeing that so many if you also love Tai Chi and chinese martial arts too. But you're right how often times instruction in it can be so disappointing, or frustrating, in how long it takes before you're told something completely helpful, or if you ever get told at all, or sometimes the teacher really wants you to know, but just does not explain it in a way that makes sense for you. And that may not entirely be their fault. It's the culture, and it can be very tricky to explain these concepts. But to the extent that I have understanding that is helpful for people, and ways of explaining that can share these understandings, I want to share it with you. Because I know there is something amazing and wonderful about these practices. And I know people believe that too. And beyond that, I think if we stop keeping these things secret, if everyone knew of it, there will be so much benefit: More people will want to practice Tai Chi. More people can play with Tai Chi. And together we can experiment, test, and evolve Tai Chi even more. And as it evolves and grows beyond the limits of secrecy, people can respect and love Tai Chi even more. That means more people can benefit from it all, in their life, in their health, in their strength and safety and everything. And that would be a wonderful future, would it not? Where does this concept of Kao come from? It seems more like what I've more often encountered as Peng and when discussing the bear hug, you do mention Peng. So what is the relationship between Peng and Kao in yiur system? And where do you get the interpretation of "rely on" and this employment of this Jin? 🙏

Great question! This concept of Kao as a supporting quality on the surface of your body is helpfully discussed in the book 杨式太极拳述真, Yang Style Tai Chi Quan Truths, by master Wong Yongquan. Master Wong Yongquan was an inner door disciple of the Yang Family and studied under Yang Jianhou, Yang Shaohou, and Yang Chengfu, serving as the family secretary and allowed to experience and record much of the inner teachings. Near the end of his life, he decided to publish what he had seen and learned that was unknown to practitioners outside the family, in an effort to reverse the misunderstandings and decline in Tai Chi practice. He writes that "Kao Jin - Neijin flows from the source of power to the shoulder or back, and depending on the needs of the application, expresses to the diagonal forward or diagonal back direction. Kao Jin usually combines with Zhou (Elbow) Jin, to serve as support for the hand's Jin to create effect. What merits explanation is that when Zhou goes forward and left, Kau goes forward and right to combine and emit together." pg 30-31. Beyond this, the idea of awareness of the surface as the key to activating this Jin is the understanding passed down in our lineage. You are right to note that similarity and overlap between Peng and Kao. The simplest way to understand the relationship and distinction between them is that Peng is the energy flow, and Kao is the intention direction (Yi). Peng creates an outward and upward flow of Qi that creates a buoyancy to the opponent's efforts to apply force upon you. Kao directs your and their awareness to this outer surface carrying that floating force so that the effect of Peng fully transmits into them and completely transforms their force. If it is simpler or more pleasing for you to think of this as all Peng, you can. Just ensure that your Peng entails an outward surface awareness that directs your opponent's force to that outer surface, as this is the key to making Tai Chi work against a resisting opponent. Yes! With internal arts there's a lot of variance on how each person experiences these abstract concepts in their physical reality. And each practitioner can have different yet valid perceptions. We can learn from each person and from each gain some guidance on this journey. As my students gain success in Tai Chi skills I guide them to find their personal symbols of what Tai Chi skills really feel like to them. Because it is our spirit that really guides these skills and our Qi, and our spirit speaks not in English or Chinese words, but in symbols and feelings. So as we understand the symbolism and feelings we get a truer insight into the nature of these practices!

A friend of mine tried the "intent thing". He completely relaxed as much as possible so he doesn't fall he was sitting on the chair his intent was so strong he fell unconsciousness and I had to call an ambulance. Needless to see the power you are showing did not work. What's the secret I know about intent I know about fascia I know about energy inside the body I can feel all that when I meditating I can even feel it flowing with my blood but how do I direct it and bring it outside of my body I can only talk about it I cannot do it.

Your friend sounds very talented to be able to accomplish that and he will benefit from instruction to guide that talent. One key that you may not have realized yet is that with intention, you are not trying to imagine something or wishing something. What you will be doing when you succeed is directing awareness. You can become aware of your foot. You can become aware of your body weight. You can become aware next of how body weight falls on your foot and creates balance. As you place pressure on another person, you can then become aware of another person's foot. You can become aware of how your pressure reaches that foot. You can adjust balance in your own body, and that means you can adjust how you apply balance on what you put pressure on, whether it's your foot, a cane, or someone else. As you adjust that in someone else you can begin to find a line of force through their body, along their fascia. Now you are aware of something real and influencible, beyond words in someone's mouth and videos online. And a door opens, to experience, which is the key to realizing internal skill. Awareness, and experience, especially experience that you are present to, far from your thoughts, far above any mental conceptions, and deeply inside the present experience itself. As you find home in the present, you will become free of the confusion that an intellect can create. And what will you be aware of when you are free? What will you experience, when you become completely present?

I have experience taking on Karate and Wing Chun fighters who were accomplished. Their skills evaporated with my fearless, aggressive non-stop attacks that were meant to damage. The only fight I have ever lost was with a college wrestler. I was born with unnatural ape strength, but he had me twisted backward so quickly that I thought my back was breaking. They are about the only fighters I wouldn't want to fight again.

remember its a circular cycle. once the cycle is disrupt with the head punch, most likely its hard to reset the cycle again. but doesnt mean someone somewhere have the ability.

Great question Ziggy! It took me a long time before I was able to maintain the right state of relaxation while being punched in the head. And I've also been punched in the head many times in that journey ha ha. So you're right to think that this can be a difficult thing to accomplish, and it doesn't mean though that difficult things are impossible. Consider great fighters who are evasive and counter hitters, Mayweather Jr, Lerdsilla etc. If they learned to be relaxed, soft, calm while the world's greatest fighters are punching and kicking their head, it is possible that we can also be calm and soft too, can we not? Regarding what are the skills of Tai Chi that let's you apply it, do you mean where are the techniques? We have explored that a little in other videos and there will definitely be more. In this one I wanted to show the "engine", like how Muay Thai throws bodyweight into the legs, BJJ maximizes leverage and space control, what is the engine behind Tai Chi? Regarding Tai Chi's techniques, briefly I'd say the essentials are: non telegraphed spontaneous stepping, soft blocks with both arms and legs that interfere with their offense, fascia control that disrupts their balance, and Tai Chi's 5 or so essential punches. It's great to hear your practical experience with Tai Chi usage. A questioning mind is very valuable in this journey through the practice where so much information can be misleading or wrong. Thanks for your input and pragmatic thoughts!

I also can't comprehend how can somebody be completely relaxed and stand up without collapsing every time I try I just collapse. You just have to relax enough try it even if you keep the most stable structure without using almost any muscle you can only do it for a few seconds because our bodies mostly water and you just feel it if you relax completely there's no way you can stand up maybe for a couple of seconds before that 1 mg of balance to the right flips your body to the right and it collapses and that is only if you are really really relaxed as they are saying. So, according to physics it is not possible for a human body at least for a human physical body to stand up straight without using any muscle whatsoever although our mind can do that. It is clear to me for a long time already that we are not our body and that our body is not we because consciousness can do much more than the body can like teleporting like anything else supernatural our body can not do although our consciousness can that's how somebody thought of creating fairy tales because that was the only way to manifest at least to some point the power of our consciousness. But when you go against physics no matter how we can imagine ourselves to be it is not possible to fool physics. Yet every master is saying that you have to be completely relaxed and even more relaxed than that in order to achieve whatever you're showing on video. I heard it I know it by heart but I cannot understand it please show me what to read I am sure it cannot be explained in a couple of words or maybe by words whatsoever. I do have connection with higher power because again I've been meditating for too long of a time to achieve no goals at all so I know there are possible things to do in this world that dont correlate with physics or the things that physics cannot explain. But since you are saying a machine could replicate that it has to be connected to physics and I just cannot connect it inside my mind ; just please don't write physics formulas I know nothing of school physics I know just what actual physics are like from my personal experience because whatever they taught in school I don't see useful at all so formulas won't work for me

Other people may have said to relax completely but that doesn't work for the exact reasons you noted. I do not say that. Just relax only to the extent that you let go of excess tension. You can easily clench your fist and jaw and create excess tension. Release those. And beyond those, release all the other unnecessary tension so that you are standing, but comfortably, totally comfortably. In another video I describe how to train this, take a look and try it. I'm sorry I'm not trying to flood your screen by posting too many comments but it just was happening is that my fault I just cannot stop talking because I for the time of 10 trying to understand this. So you are telling me that this can be replicated by machinary which was opposite of what I believed I thought only living beings can affect other living beings with this energy and I suppose I was wrong at root. Alright that's like a huge Discovery I think I just realized in theory how Egyptians moved all those rocks to create pyramids, and I will possibly be the closest one of all to the truth but still even though I can possibly now explain it I still don't understand it!

It sounds like you are understanding more and more! To be clear, in the video I state that the first half, about fascia control and relaxed momentum transfer, this is physics and we can probably train robots to do it. The second half, about intention and the quality of energy, goes beyond what current physical science has researched and explained.

No matter how much I try to connect the puzzles inside my head of everything I've ever seen about tai chi they just don't connect at all. And you're saying this is physics and it can be replicated by robots now that's very very interesting that means anyone can learn this without any special training longer than a couple of months which is a huge claim. I mean come on how is this work with physics? No matter what posture or what intention or what mind state you use if you are relaxed and somebody actually pushes you with one finger he's gonna move you according to physics. Especially if you are a robot. In physics I can understand this to the very first point where I could somehow bend my body and shift my center weight so the guy just misses me and pushes on My shoulder x instead of the center of my body but it is also physics you are saying you're not even using physics to your completely relaxed which means you're not using your muscles at all not even to evade the punches I cannot understand this. We need more information whoever doesn't understand this from scratch and tries to understand it maybe there's somebody else in my situation is there anybody else here who studied this for 20 years without exaggeration, just because he would like this to be true he would love this to be true and he was believing with his whole heart that one day he'll find out that this is true. Man how much literature how much text I know by heart without understanding how this works it's amazing 20 years on and off returning to the subject learning more theory and non-practice at all because whatever I practice it does not work like that at all I do not understand the secret it just has to click inside my head come on who can do that??

Besides I see many comments here and they all look very similar and the very very like its bots like the real people aren't even writing here come on I'm certainly not a bot look at the size and the uniqueness of my comment and I'm telling you for 20 years that I've spent studying tai chi I have not gotten any proof besides video that is real and I would really love to I am praying till today I meet a person who can show this to me personally I've even met people who also swear who have felt this and today I believe 90% is real it's just so astonishing it is shocking how I cannot understand this. I'm not going to brag but my intelligence on its own is different than with other people and when competing in rivalry I see all things other suggests from many different ways and from more different positions than most people but this I just cannot compare hand I don't know I've tried many ways and I think I understand the physical basis like push hands whatever yeah there's a game push hands whoever moves defeat he loses but besides that basics okay I don't get it at all I understand if my opponent center of gravity is physically tilted to some direction is going to be easy to move in with one finger but if he pushes back at me that's a different story if he's bigger and stronger there's no way you can lift him according to physics and again the same goes for robots so what is the cat give me a book give me something that I don't waste my time anymore it's 20 years plus about to be 21 still waiting for the legitimate explanation that I can understand what is going on am I crazy or what????

To me, it’s all about finding a good teacher who is willing to share all they know. You can learn from a great practitioner but if they won’t teach you( my Tai Chi master didn’t) then you’re lost. You’ll just flounder. Find a good teacher man. It’s the only solution.
