U said in the epilogue that Barcs could reach very high altitudes.. bit like the swoop bikes of Enfys Nest? High altitude diving attacks could be one advantage for both vehicles.. if they're quieter than a Starfighter in atmosphere?

Definitely! They don't reach the same heights as a starfighter can, but they would be effective for diving attacks like you said!

Alot of real world military units are learning the value of bikes. We have used them several years but seeing more about them now. European have used heavy for years (Germany, Italy. But yeah definitely when I become Emperor I'm getting me some dees

I always wondered how the Coruscant police bikes maintained their altitude despite being so high up while the Empire models could only go a hundred feet? But I guess they would have better repulsor units on board for such a city.

Yeah probably so. It may also be that the Empire had more specified vehicles for escorting ships in to dock, rather than using the speeder bikes for that. Just a theory.

Yeah, I could see that. The Empire for all their flaws did have a good engineering Corp who made a lot of interesting variations of gear.

Will look out for them when next watch ROTS.. they seemed souped up with pods on front.. certainly moreso than those traffic police bikes seen at Coronet City (Solo: A Star Wars Story) 😆

I wonder why they needed to be so long. They've depicted SWOOPs in the EU that were rather short. Maybe extra stability or required for the higher altitudes? Cheers & happy 2021!

That could be. I don't know the reasoning, but there are quite a few other speeder bikes that are fairly long too. Happy 2021 to you too!
