Hej John First of all: 1000 thanks for a super channal!!! I am always looking forward to Your next edition! I like to suggest You make a video in brake calipers and pads. The various discs are well documented on KZfaq, but very little is to be found about calipers and pads. There seems to be "old" JAG calipers, "old" Brembo JAG calipers, Brembo special red type Calipers and possibli more...and finally Alcon calipers. They each have "their own" type pads it seems. So an overview on what X100 models the varous types of gear is to be found would be appreciated and would problay interst a lot of Your other viewers. Brgds Jan

Interesting! I never lock my XKR convertible because I don't want anybody breaking/ripping anything trying to get into it. I do worry that someone might try to come along and hotwire it though 😅

Genuinely if I did not have the key with the correct transponder chip in it, then I would struggle to hotwire my own Jag inside 3 hours. I dont know if that makes the XK8 and R a really secure car, or makes me a bad car thief🤣

Hi johnathan✋ I use a Rhode micro wireless GO lapel system. highly recommended.I own a gimble but have only used it on 2 of my videos. I find the image stabilisation built into my dji osmo action camera is more than sufficient and a lot less trouble than my quite expensive gimble arm

I used to watch Bosnian Bill, also a master at lock picking, and teacher of picking locks and showing weaknesses. Unfortunately, he no longer posts videos, but has a huge back catalogue.

I once bought a brand new Renault Laguna that were advertised as being the most secure car .... anti drill / anti burst / anti tamper door locks. However, that lock was mounted into the PLASTIC door handle (the same as yours) and mine was broken into just by breaking the door handle away with a screwdriver and then gaining access to the inner door workings.

You are right. And almost all car doors can be opened if you puncture the sheet steel/aluminium or plastic door skins and move the appropriate lock operating rod. All we can hope for is to make the task time-consuming and or noisy.

Yes any that use that shape / format of key. S type X type XJ's of that era.

Hi John, Interesting video. Not too worried about someone being able to lock my car. I would be worried if it was the other way around and my XK could be unlocked with a key other than my own. Glad that's not the case!

How well did the suspension overhaul go? Any problems after fitting it all, any improvements?

Certainly got some improvements. Very few negatives, and those that are present are really minor. Video coming out on this very topic in a couple of weeks @punisher9419
