When Justice League of America #1 hit shelves in June, it not only gave Justice League fans a second comic starring their favorite super team to look forward to each month, it brought legendary artist Bryan Hitch back into the DC Comics fold. In this exclusive DC All Access clip, Hitch talks us through the debut issue, sharing the story behind that giant foldout cover and the entirely new take on the Justice League contained within.

I'm loving JLA. I wish there was more DC books like this and JL where the stakes are much higher. Also thank-you DC Entertainment for these videos with the creators. really fun and interesting to watch.

Love these DC AA vids of the creators discussing their work! I wasn't too interested in Hitch's JLA before, but positive reviews and this vid will have me hunting down back issues next time I'm in my store

I have really been enjoying JLA but I only have one complaint. I wish I knew when exactly it takes place its clear that it no longer takes place during the 5 year time skip. Why because it was mentioned hat wonder woman is the new god of war. And that only happens after the 5 year time skip. At best I can only assume that it takes place possibly before the villains journey (only because after that story Hal leaves the league.) Or it could just mean as DC has been saying creativity over continuity after convergence.

+KON- EL But Hal comes back just before Convergence around issue #39 I think to train Power Ring (the good version) which I assume is during the time he is given leave from the corp in Green Lantern. I have not read JLA but I assumed it was like the main Justice League Comic set just before all the changes happened to everyone like Superman losing his powers and everyone changing their costumes.

Concon True at first it will seem nice. But as time goes on it will become more difficult in putting in the pieces of each story into the grand scheme of things.

+TheImmortalDimebag They are the same team set in the same universe, the writer just wanted to make this story and since the main Justice League comic already had planned out a big story they made a new Justice League comic and made it JLA so you could distinguish the two books. Both are set before all the changes in the DC universe like Superman losing his powers and Batman being replaced with a new Batman.

+TheImmortalDimebag Both are the same team and the same characters. I can understand why it's a little confusing as they are both coming out at the same time. But imagine both are two different stories that happens to be sold t the same time when it should be in a straight line. Both are equally epic and massive. Definitely should read.

Hey people. I was buying court of owls volume 1 and also volume 2... so will it cover the entire court of owls arc or just first two issues? reason being it looks pretty expensive if it's just the first two issues

Batman Vol 1: Court of Owls and Vol 2: City of Owls gives you issues 1-12(?) so not just two issues.

+Bruce Wayne Volumes typically have about 5 issues in them so volume 1 probably has issues 1-5 and volume 2 would have 6-11 I would assume at least

+Bruce Wayne It would be wise to buy the Crossover Book Night of the Owls as well as it gives you the issues from all the other characters (Bat girl, Robin, Night wing and so on). Basically the order of reading is Batman vol 1, Night of the Owls, Batman vol 2.

+Bruce Wayne Hey dude, I had the same confusion when I started reading comics lol. I didn't get all this issues and volumes shenanigans. But I'm over it now. A volume is like one story arc. And a story arc has several issues in it. Trades are normal flexible books, you have seen this everywhere. And Hard Cover is like a bible lol. Not as flexible. I think that covers most of it, hope it helps.

i have no interest in jla, but i really like bryan hitch. same Thing with scott snyder, i find him really sympathetic, but he is a pretty lame writer imo. feel free to disagree
