Nice video. You could use a new blade or utility knife for sharp cut of the roots mostly on the causes. Regards from Ghana.

Thanks for the information! Im trying to grow another adenium. My first one got tooo soaked during our desert monsoon. I left the pot out in the rain & my caudex just turned to mush. I’ve got to master this exotic plant!

I am a Garden Lady @ Home Depot so we received 30 babies & 6 larger & 2 Very large Adeniums. I’ve created signs with important info about them. Things Ive learned the hard way! It’s all about learning from your mistakes. Growing things in the Southwest can be very tricky in Summer🔥…i collect rainwater & then dish it out to patio plants.🪴

Thank for your information. I had 3 desert roses for 17 years. One of my desert roses this year, got bad root rot. I couldn’t save it, and I lost it. I was devastated. Then 2 months later, I noticed my other 2 old ladies had started to get root rot also.. I took them out of soil, removed all the root rot and washed all the caudex and roots. I trimmed all the branches this spring. I repotted with new soil. Should I trim leaves and flowers with this hot weather, again?

Hi. I'm not sure where you are but we find one one of the issues in root rot has to do with overwatering, or too much moisture. I would avoid trimming the leaves but focus on drying out and removing the rot. Here is how we usually deal with root rot: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ad5yhL2Yq8XXZ58.html.

@@greenspacezambia Thank you so much for your response. I'm located in deep South Texas. I will remove any visible root rot and let them dry out before repotting. Your video was one of the best information on desert roses, I've seen. Thank you.🥰
