100% I had my Son with me at World cup and Cleetus had just come back from ripping Leroy and came over to him specifically to say hi and get pictures. CLASS ACT. Made our day!! My Son is disabled with some medical issues and he LOVES watching his youtube.

Cleetus even learnt to do proper burnouts from us Aussies. He even had a couple off top Aussie burnout cars at a couple of his events at his track. I live in the Tampa area and for years they have been closing racetracks and mud truck holes from Polk County through Hillsborough and down to Manatee and Bradenton counties. When he reopened Desoto Speedway / The Freedom Factory he brought something back down here.

The video makes it sound like the sponsors paid for the Freedom Factory. In reality they they helped make it a little easier, but Cleetus/Garret still had to use every penny he had to his name, along with a loan from a friend to make the purchase happen. He talked about the purchase in pretty good detail on Roman's podcast.

Cleet has made a few videos now about his start with 1320, talking about college, getting more and more into racing. Not to mention calling Madi his fiance and having a child together when they have been married for somewhere close to two years now with a daughter on the way. Just based on the 1320 video about cleet that came out a week or so ago, it shows how sloppy this video is and just how baity this is.

I say he's the PT Barnum of the automotive world. My only knock on the guy is that I'd love to see more content of Mullet racing...and that he's kinda sketchy on safety stuff. He could be a huge factor in racing if he were to promote safety regularly - other racers/KZfaqrs would jump right on. It would be a win/win.

Disappointing that videos/channels like this can ride the coat tails of the real deal. Cleetus is the real deal, nothing in this video took any “sleuthing” to figure out, Garret has said all of it in his own videos. they use youtube purely for business, cleetus likes making videos. you can succede in youtube 2 ways, assuming you have the subs, you can put out alot of shorter vids per week or one big video a month or so. both have pros and cons, shorter vids can have multiple ads, but long video once a month is alot less work but less money potentinally if it doesnt go viral like whistlin's videos do.

I’ve met Cleetus many times he’s a great person and is cheerful around his fans. Now James I’ve had two bad experiences talking to him. Both times I waited for everyone to leave him alone and tried saying hi to get a picture with him in the car with me in front of it. Both times during Rocky mtn race week in Kearny Ne. Edit: while meeting him I also meet Brent from PFI speed he has easily became my favorite youtuber. Any time I walk up to him he actually remembers who I am which leaves me SHOOK.

I was born at Tampa General 60 years ago and have lived in the Bay area my Whole life. from age 8 to 50 I lived in South Tampa on Bayshore Blvd. You could hear the oval track racing from what is now Cleetus' track if the wind was out of the east. There was nothing around Desoto Speedway until recently I guess. I moved to St. Petersburg in 2008 and it was still empty over there on us 41. It is scary how many people are flooding into Florida right now. Come November, I hope people remember why they left the crappy area they came from and don't turn FL. into a lawless Hell Hole also.

Ok i gotta cut in, fire proof suit or not, 200+ degree coolant is gonna burn you either way. Fire proof is fire proof not steam proof. That was an unfortunate radiator placement behind the driver. Risky design. No firewall or windshield separate the a hot liquid system from the driver.

Have watched Cleetus from back when he was working in Jeremy's back yard and this video is so totally wrong. Of all the youtubers hes more genuine than basically anyone else. Theres so much context thats missing, and so many compassionate acts that are ignored while emphasizing accidents that were rare and certainly not hidden. Part of that old track surface is on my shelf. Even the origin story is wrong, it was a joke and its been discussed openly. Its Tom Baileys car and he was making a joke video but it took off and he decided to go with it. Since then he built up from being by himself working on a salvaged corvette with no body to owning a huge shop, track and airport. Hes earned it all and the thumbnail is the worst kind of click baiting bull around.
