I can clearly remember when he used to visit his sister in our compound in Warri in the late 80s and early 90s. He would greet us in Urhobo language when rushed to see him and his band. He is very nice and humble.

"Omoge yesterday no fit gree your own today She go tell you say, No be only you be her lover. Put ear for ground, Na omo eko dandan ni, Original a-young-eh, Money na hand, back na ground eh. This one na razor blade, samsam baby pancake o. She no go like make you say, She old pass her mama, If you tell am 'te slow' katakata go burst o, and everything go pafuka, she go elele find her way o, And you no go see am again." 😀😀 Great lyrics in pure unadulterated pidgin English! Such creative descriptive adjectives. Today's kids will need a 1970s and 80s Nigerian pidgin dictionary just to understand this. Lol
