I really want to get into restaurant franchising. Food is always something ppl are gonna need, and my area is a little limited as far as different food places, so I think I could def add something around here that peope would enjoy.

Hi Tariq! Been watching your videos lately and it has been very helpful. I wanted to ask, were you & your spouse the managers when you first opened your franchise business? Or did you guys hire a manager? Which would you recommend?

I was active in the business the first year, and also had a manager. How you run yours depends on many factors. Can you afford to leave your job right away? Is it better for you to manage the business while it’s getting up and running. Does the cost of a manager still allow you to make profit?

I have owned two Nathan hotdogs fransise many years ago. Most of my life I did start ups and build pita for call centers off and on shore. I am not that young as I use be but, I thank something turn key would be better for me then pass on down to daughter.

Hey Isaac, don't get hung up on that part- super easy. Whatever state your in just google LLC in your state. Make sure you go to the official website of the state, and you can usually file the LLC for pretty cheap around $100 or so. I do franchise coaching if you need help with business stuff. Hey @Billy I don't give public advice on individual Franchise locations, it would take a few hours or research for me to give a thoughtful analysis. Overall UPS is a reputable franchise that is almost everywhere. Here's what you want to ask and find out...what areas do UPS stores succeed in? Demographics, residential, commercial, etc. Does that location area have the necessary ingredients to support a successful store?

FIrst off, Keep making content becuase you crush it. I am thinking about opening up a physical therapy practice franchise FYZICAL or Physical Therapy Now. I was thinking it would be ideal if I could find a practice that is being sold, buy it out, then converting it to a franchise. What do you think about physical therapy practices? Hey Alexander- appreciate the kind words. Sounds like a great vision! What has you focused on the physical therapy space? Overall I think physical therapy is a great niche- there will ALWAYS be a need for that kind of business. I am a fan of buying an existing practice...although there are pros and cons. If you buy an existing practice that is successful, you're saying you would want to become the Franchisor?? If the goal is to become a franchisor, then you'd probably want to have a number of corporate stores that have proven to be successful in order to effectively recruit franchisees. How old would you have to buy a franchise? I’m 15 and want to get into chick-fil-a I feel like once I am old enough it would be a great investment because my town and this close town to us doesn’t have one and those towns combined have a population of 325,645 but the problem is that I heard it’s hard to get selected to be a franchise owner for them

My research has shown me a more affordable franchise where the franchisor gives you pretty much everything. Do you think it’s a good idea to start there before jumping into a full on chicken fast food restaurant

I wouldn’t do a fast food franchise at all. Very low profit margins, and very expensive to start up. I definitely would advise to stay in a financial range you feel comfortable in. Get your first win under your belt in business and it helps a lot.

@@TariqJohnson 😄 I was invited to run the day to day operations and I felt really comfortable with in front of the house and back of the house. I do have 15 years working at various restaurants. I believe the area of improvement for me is marketing because I just have a fear of going up to random people and talking to them. I have applied for a SBA loan for $450k that required 20% down. I want to be a semi-absence owner because I still love my Accounting day job. Based on this information I provided do you think it is still a good idea to go through with it. I have anxiety because this is uncharted territories for me. I have a family that I still have to provide for as well.

I just started this journey. By myself with no one else. I want to do it right. I HV no income coming in and need to be successful right away. How can I find income producing franchises less then 20k?

Hey Kathleen, the best thing is to find a re-sale franchise. One that's already producing profits, and enough to create an income for you and be able to support the SBA loan payments. There are a bunch of business buying websites that will show what's available in your area.

1. First I've ever heard of them 2. Pretty sure they are not a franchise 3. What is your specific question? 4. Businesses will always need capital- and I personally love financial services. I don't know anything about the company, to speak with any definitive opinion.

Solid. I'd stay away from franchise brokering unless you have owned franchises yourself. Medical industry is highly competitive, but if you can crack through- could be huge.

I appreciate your feedback. I pride myself on having the most detailed and thorough content and analysis on franchising- considering I’ve built a multi million dollar business. If you don’t have 12 minutes to learn about mistakes than can cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars in a major business decision, well…I’m ok with that. I get consistent feedback that people who are seriously interested in franchising appreciate the deep insights I put out.

@@TariqJohnson It's not bad to be thorough. I'm not criticizing your analysis. It's a suggestion on your film-making. Take the advice. The first minute of this video didn't teach anything. I measured it out. Try making it shorter. You will get more views.
