Now hold on...we may be in a situation where there aren't many undefeated teams come December. Big 10 will have at most 1. PAC12 might have only 1. ACC might have only 1. That still leaves a spot for a one loss SEC team...but realistically its either Georgia or Alabama at this point...and only one of them. Unless we start going all 2007 and having nobody stay undefeated... Which would be awesome.

Bama needs to win out and play georgia in the sec championship. Obviously the top 10 will shake out but a win vs georgia is bama's ticket to the playoffs. If they are Georgia's only loss they drop from 1 to 4 and still get into the playoffs as well. As a bama fan hopefully we can get the job done this time.

That's not an insult We are quite aware of the BIG12's status, but we've been planning the move to the SEC for a couple of years now. @@TijuanabillEvery year is the year we’re going to turn it around, until it isn’t. TBH, you become numb to it after a while. So when we actually have some success it feels like the season had a bit of meaning. Being born and raised in Missouri it would be very weird to just start rooting for another team because they were successful, so we support our team and believe we can succeed. With that being said, I’m excited about our team this year and the fact that we’re already bowl eligible with half the season left to go.

I wasn’t even born in Missouri, but I moved there in 8th grade to CoMo, and that was about the time I started paying attention to college sports. I think we have actually turned things around very well in both basketball and football, given the bad results from both home grown coaches in both sports and guys brought in like Cuonzo Martin who was only brought in to recruit the Porter family. But I get what you’re saying, Missouri seems to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, last season was a prime example in football. 3 games lost in the final possession. Drink has done well surprisingly with recruiting, and I’m really hoping Burden does not transfer after this season. We lost a ton this off-season, but we are slowly getting back the recruiting base in MO we had under Pinkel. Sad to lose Cook after this year, hope he gets drafted (should be round 3-6 predicted)! Anyways, can’t lose a trap game against those jerks from SC, they crushed our spirits a few times during the recent “glory days” when we had a toddler kicking our field goals lol. MIZ

You see that latest AP poll where Oregon loses a game, but it is a "quality loss" against a fellow elite program so Oregon only drops down like 2 spots? That's normally what happens to SEC programs!

@@tren133 - And Washington isn't even elite. All of their blowout wins came against teams that have 1 to 2 wins. They beat a 3 loss AZ team by 10 and Oregon by 3. On the flipside, Oregon blew out all the teams they played that have a losing record as well, and almost lost to a garbage CU team.
