@@codewizard5327 It is so because inherently Hinduism is different from religions. Actually It shouldn't even be compared since Hinduism is a way of living while religions are based on beliefs only. I'm not belittling religions in any way. It's just different. Present idea of Hinduism (even among majority of Hindus) is coming from recent history. The essence of culture in the Indian subcontinent is Sanatan Dharma (translates into Eternal law) which in turn is based on profound understanding of human mechanism. ( Even emotions, ambition etc... are part of this most complex mechanism on the planet.)

@@whistler4775 actually those temple are under heritage sites of india and two points: 1) not used as they are weak structure actually abandoned before there was concept indian gov in bharat and so are weak enough to injure 2) they are so old that we librals think not renovate it and keep it for the future humans to know about heritage and the mosques in india arent that old even jama masjid is under government but still been used because its not that old and it is very large the same way like somnath,puri and many more

It's a sin if our generation damages or destroys these Temples and hand the damaged or destroyed structures over to our future generations. These Temples were handed over to us by our ancient ancestors. It is our duty to hand it over to our future generations as it is (never in any way deformed)

The Jagannth temple ,not that of puri, I know for years, though under endowment department of Odisha, runs for less than a lakh rupees a year...even it gets very tough for us to maintain our century old Rath yatra expenditure... it's time people n government should open their eyes..

not just that, you can not even find wash rooms and drinking water in most of the temples except big temples like Tirupathi. I know this is small issue, but this is also big issue, every temple must have wash rooms, water supply and auditorium for cultural activities.

@@Laxmiudhaya ru a human? how many hrs u can hold by not going to wash rooms? forget about temples r in forest area or outside towns.. what about temples within the middle of cities or towns.. what about elder ppl. by the way I am not just talking about wash rooms and drinking water, but this is one of the issue.. in 21st century talk facts based on reality. until 20 years back every year my family use to go one family temple in Andhra and stay 3 or more days and come back. now we go visit and come back in a day. that is not bcz spiritual aspect gone in us or we are modernized. in temple situation changed, environment changed, you can not sleep at night, no water, mosquitoes , even we buy water from outside and manage with mosquitoes.. no proper wash rooms for ladies to complete their daily routes. no one give complaint, bcz all are settled to one day visit. hundreds of families visit that temple everyday. I do not think there is funding issue. its just intension. I can show in plenty of temples like that in Andhra. so do not talk like LKG student just make fun in comments section.

Every temple may not have sufficient place to construct wash rooms and all... First of all out side of the premises of temple walls, everything belongs to private landlords... So, you want to construct wash rooms inside the temple.???, Why should you wait for so long timings for Dharshan.?? Did you ever thought that.?? Have you been to other states temples.??? Dharshan will be completed within 2 hours maximum, (even in peak time also)... Except thirumala, you supposed to wait hours and hours because of VIP dharshans etc etc... I'm talking about that Why you have to wait so long times for Dharshan without any reason

Very well said. Funnily enough, even UK which is not a secular country clearly states in it's constitution that the church is and will be beyond government's reach. Isn't it interesting how a deeply faith driven country such as ours decides to hand over places of faith into the hands of the government. It was always about seizing more power and controlling the masses. I have a feeling this will change soon and it should. After adopting so many western values, I hope we start viewing temples just like UK views their churches; beacons of liberation that should not be corrupted by the hands of politicians.

Loss of any temple anywhere is a loss for this civilization and you must feel the pain for each of them, only then this campaign will be a success._

Thank You Sadhguru. This is a wonderful cause to build back the culture and heritage of India. Hindus have forgotten their roots and some of them don't want to take charge of their lives and rather wanted to be ruled by someone else. There are some fools who are asking, what is wrong with the government managing the temples, such is their ignorance, they may let their children and families to be managed by someone else. They are still living with slavery in their mind. Time they come to their senses and wake up and take charge of their lives and their deities. Free the temples of Tamilnadu and India. Thank You.
